A naturally airheaded, innocent, straightforward flower spirit versus a pure-hearted, aloof beauty
Yun Fu is a supporting female character by the side of a tragic, powerful male lead.
She was once struck dead by lightning, but happened upon a System and clawed her way back from the brink of death. All she wants is to follow the plot, complete her mission, and come back to life.
The System says her role is to teach the male lead the cruel truths of love, so that after ascending to godhood, he will sever all ties to love and never give his heart again.
Following the System’s instructions, Yun Fu approaches the cold-hearted male lead. First, she showers him with care and refuses to take no for an answer, coaxing him into pitying her. Then she tricks him into giving her his body and his heart, takes all she can from him, and steals the priceless treasure that could save his life on the eve of their wedding, which everyone knows about, before fleeing.
The male lead hates himself for misjudging her, is so furious he spits blood, and never sees her again. After being deceived by her once, he is too afraid to date and devotes himself to cultivating until he becomes a god.
After drinking from the River of Forgetfulness, she is reborn, once again a carefree little demon.
The two have nothing more to do with each other.
That is the ending the System told her.
But in reality, Yun Fu flees in her wedding dress, and the male lead, having seen through everything, suppresses the news of her escape and chases her with his life-bound sword for three days and three nights.
Yun Fu finally makes it to the Bridge of Helplessness. She is just a tiny step away from reincarnating, when, her System glitches and stops working.
Yun Fu: ...
A sword scrapes along the bridge, clashing against the gravel with a grating sound. Yun Fu turns around, trembling, and sees Mo Li approaching with his sword. Nervously swallowing, she asks, “Husband, if I told you... this was all a misunderstanding, would you believe me?”
Mo Li wears a crimson wedding robe, its collar stained with blood. His jade crown is perfectly straight, though a few strands of hair have fallen loose. “I believe you...” he murmurs, almost to himself, his cool face eerily calm.
“But Fu’er, come here first.”
He lifts his eyes to look at her, then throws away his sword. When she still does not move, he smiles gently and says, “Why don’t you come over to me...”
“You can explain everything carefully.”
