Playing the Savior of a World Plagued by Natural Disasters

Yuan Xin got an unusual job: help fictional worlds survive natural disasters.

Disaster novel [The Long Night Falls]

Yuan Xin: This little mood light from a birthday gift looks pretty good here.

The disaster victims in a survival novel struggle to stay alive in the darkness. Suddenly, the world brightens, and a huge, warm sun reappears in the sky.

The victims, who have long prayed for light, fall to their knees and thank the savior god for hearing their prayers.

Disaster novel [Global Flood]

The rain pours down. Flash floods sweep through the mountains, destroying countless buildings.

Seeing this, Yuan Xin casually finds a toy boat and sets it in the raging floodwaters.

A colossal ship suddenly descends from the sky in the fictional world. The victims, who had been waiting to die in despair, scramble aboard this fortress at sea.

Next, a massive boulder drops from the sky with a thunderous crash, followed by earth tumbling down to form a new continent.

The victims cheer wildly, witnessing the miraculous creation of land and their salvation by a god.

Meanwhile, in the real world, Yuan Xin is putting down a pebble and sprinkling some potting soil from a flowerpot.

Disaster novel [Deadly Heat]

Yuan Xin: The map's turned red from the heat? An average temperature of 55 degrees? I'll cool things down with some ice from the freezer.

In the world of extreme heat, a giant iceberg descends from the sky, drawing away the surrounding heat and spreading a hint of coolness. The melting ice becomes the sweetest rainwater to those on the brink of death.

Looking at the land, hot enough to send up smoke, Ni Yue takes out a spray bottle of toner and carefully gives it two spritzes.

The world of extreme heat sees its first rain in three years of drought. The starving, gaunt victims race through the rain in tears, thanking the heavens for their blessing...

Until one day, the real world is hit by three straight months of rain, and the entire planet is submerged in muddy yellow floodwaters.

She watches helplessly as a gigantic ship descends from the sky. Her name is on its hull, carved in crooked letters when she was three...

Well, would you look at that. Was I saving myself all along?
