Rainforest Survival: From a One-Square-Meter Treehouse to a Palace in the Clouds

Lin Wu opened her eyes to find herself lying in the damp, muddy depths of a tropical rainforest.

Malaria mosquitoes swarmed and fire ants crawled everywhere. She rolled to the side, narrowly dodging a giant python out hunting for food.

A glowing screen appeared before her:

The other players enthusiastically started chopping trees and killing monsters, earning points to build safe houses. Lin Wu, however, stared blankly at the unexpected "Gardener" talent she'd tapped.

Well, whether a talent worth one point was cheap for a reason was one thing. The bigger problem was that she was a plant killer!

Lin Wu had killed eighteen potted pothos in three years, and her grandma had chased her around for wrecking the vegetable garden more times than she could count. With trembling hands, she opened her beginner mission: cultivate a carnivorous Rafflesia.

W-Well, might as well give it a try.

Lin Wu, who had somehow become the top-ranked legend, straightened her collar and said modestly, "The secret to success is being bold, broad-minded, and forgetful!"

1. Boldness: Shove things that have nothing to do with one another into the same pot.

2. Forgetfulness: What was I doing again? Never mind, start over and repeat step one.

3. Broad-mindedness: Haha, look at this treasure I grew! I'm amazing!

Miasma, cannibal tribes, ancient god altars, red tides during the rainy season, wildfire corridors in the dry season...

Her endless tropical rainforest adventure slowly unfolded. Lin Wu was so absorbed in growing flowers that she barely noticed the pair of amber eyes watching her from deep in the jungle whenever night fell.

That is, until she stumbled into the largest cannibal tribe. As both sides prepared for a fight, the beautiful white-haired ritual priest on the platform slowly descended from the altar and knelt on one knee, speaking haltingly:

"You who came from the stars will build a tower reaching the heavens."

"I am willing to prostrate myself and become the first cornerstone beneath your feet."

Lin Wu took the sacred jade scepter, symbol of the tribe's supreme power, with a head full of question marks.

What on earth are they babbling about?!

I'm just an ordinary rainforest gardener!
