A Supernatural Sweet Treat

A ghost had appeared in Ying Linyun's home.

A ghost who wanted to kill him.

According to his sect's prophecy, the evil spirit that had escaped its seal would be caught by him again.

Useless, ghost-fearing Ying Linyun: “...”

What kind of ridiculous prophecy was that? Staying alive came first, of course.

Every night at midnight, a cool hand would appear from nowhere and silently close around his throat.

“Ying Linyun... are you asleep?”

Through the thick darkness, the stunning face of a beautiful ghost came into view.

“I'll find a chance to kill you tomorrow.”

Ying Linyun covered his ears, unwilling to hear the words he'd already heard 108 times.

He reached out and pulled the evil spirit into his arms, his voice full of sleepiness.

“Stop acting up. I have advanced math tomorrow.”

The evil spirit: “...”

The evil spirit tossed and turned, then asked, “Are you going to seal me?”

Ying Linyun was dead tired. “I don't even know how to chant a spell. How am I supposed to seal you?”

The evil spirit suddenly laughed happily. His laughter was still cold and eerie, but the murderous intent was gone.

“Then I won't kill you.”

At last, his sect came to rescue Ying Linyun, who was being held captive by the evil spirit.

Ying Linyun opened the door and saw his fellow disciples standing outside, travel-worn. He awkwardly scratched his head.

“Where's the evil spirit?”

His master grabbed Ying Linyun's hand nervously.

“Did he hurt you?”

Ying Linyun shook his head. “No.”

“He's still asleep... Uh, he gets really grumpy when woken up, so keep your voices down, Master.”
