[Bright, sweet girl × a god who descends to the mortal realm for love]

★ During a high school desert field trip in her senior year, Mo Ranran ran into a once-in-a-century storm.
She was swept away by the merciless gale, and her life was about to end.
As her vision gradually blurred, a white figure descended from the sky.
He wore a white kasaya, his whole body bathed in golden light. Noble and pure, he seemed like a god or Buddha.
He reached out both hands toward her.
After her initial shock, Mo Ranran couldn't help bursting into tears. It was over. She really was dead. The immortals from heaven had come to take her away.
Her cries were so loud that even the white-robed man's eyes, as still and clear as a frozen pool, couldn't help but show a trace of helplessness. With force and gentleness, he pulled the girl free from the quicksand.
He let her wipe all her tears and snot on his pristine white kasaya. He let her cry and shout, "I don't want to die!" and "Immortal, save me!" Then, after she had completely passed out, he safely delivered her into the hands of her teacher.
★ From her teacher, Mo Ranran learned that the person who saved her was the famous actor Xiang Jing, who had happened to be filming in the desert.
From then on, someone took up residence in her heart.
Unfortunately, the following year, Xiang Jing announced that he was leaving the entertainment industry.
Mo Ranran saw Xiang Jing again three years later.
Introduced by her teacher, Mo Ranran became a psychological consultant for a family variety show and gained a little popularity.
At the celebration banquet, a certain investor kept pestering her and insisting on taking her home.
Unable to take it anymore, Mo Ranran blurted out, "My husband is coming to pick me up. Please stop!"
The investor burst into laughter and arrogantly brought several lackeys along to escort her downstairs, saying he wanted to see her husband.
Outside the glass revolving doors of the super-luxury hotel, a long, plush red carpet stretched into the distance.
Streetlamps glimmered on either side, as if starlight had fallen to earth.
Mo Ranran's legs were trembling as she walked. Just as she was wondering whether to run for it...
At the end of the red carpet, a black car door suddenly opened. A long leg stepped out, and a man in black got out of the car, giving her a reserved nod.
Those were the same clear, cool eyes she remembered.
"Xiang Jing!!!"
"Your husband is Xiang Jing?!"
"So Xiang Jing really left the industry to get married!"
Mo Ranran: ???
★ Even more absurdly, paparazzi nearby caught the whole thing on camera.
The long-unseen Xiang Jing was suddenly "married off," shocking the entire internet.
Mo Ranran hurried over to apologize, but Xiang Jing asked her seriously, "Miss Mo, would you be willing to actually marry me?"
★ Later, Mo Ranran learned why Xiang Jing wanted to marry her.
It was only because his three-year-old son liked watching the family variety show she appeared on and wanted her to be his mother.
After confirming that Xiang Jing was single and that the marriage would be a one-year contract, primarily for the sake of the child, Mo Ranran agreed to marry him.
To her, Xiang Jing was the man who had saved her life, a debt she could never repay.
It was only a one-year contract marriage.
Their life after marriage was peaceful.
Only once in a while, Mo Ranran would feel a little sad, because Xiang Jing seemed not to remember who she was at all.
★ Xiang Jing remembered Mo Ranran.
That day, his younger twin brother, tormented by love, had chosen to end his own life and died amid the boundless yellow sands. The pretty little girl was lying less than a meter away, on the verge of dying.
His younger brother's blood had, at last, brought back a little of his humanity.
She was the woman his younger brother loved, so saving her life was only right.
He had been out of step with the world since childhood. He had nearly died several times, but after he was taken in and raised at a temple, away from worldly life, things finally began to improve.
He had once thought his contact with the mortal world would be brief. After settling his brother's affairs and making arrangements for his brother's child and beloved, he would return to being an unknown disciple at an unmarked temple in the mountains.
But Heaven had other plans, and he broke his vows again and again.
He doubted even the Buddhas in the temple would have imagined it.
That one day, he too would love someone so humbly.
That he would kneel before a girl, sobbing, and beg only for her to see him, not his younger brother.
"I willingly entered the mortal world for you."
"I take refuge in the Buddha, in the Dharma, and in the Sangha. I take refuge in Mo Ranran."
Bonus scene:
What do you do when your husband is too aloof and quiet, and spends all his time either at work or meditating at home, making it impossible to talk to him?
Mo Ranran stays up for several nights in a row, binge-watching her husband's old movies, concerts, interviews, and variety shows again, hoping to understand him a little better.
Under the moonlight, a man in white meditates on the terrace, noble and aloof, as if a god or Buddha had descended to earth. In reality, his heart is full of tears: My wife is watching my younger brother's movies, concerts, interviews, and variety shows again. She really loves my younger brother. When will she watch me too? QAQ.
1. You can probably guess from the blurb: the child is the younger twin brother's. The person who saved her and the one the heroine has always liked is the older brother, the male lead.
2. 20-year-old heroine × 30-year-old hero. The heroine is still in university.
3. The line about taking refuge is based on words from Buddhist scripture.
4. That's the basic premise. The title, blurb, and details may still be adjusted when I start writing it properly.
5. This will be a healing, gentle love story, a romantic fairy tale.
Theme: The gods and Buddhas save all living beings
