I Don't Want to See Ghosts Every Day Either

[A hot-blooded, goofy high school boy who seems fierce x a miserly, scheming ghost who seems gentle]

What's it like to see ghosts from childhood? Basically, everyone thinks you're a lunatic who squats down to talk to trash cans.

Huo Yiye doesn't care. He just wants to finish high school and find that old bastard. But before he can find his grandpa, he gets bound to a top student who became a vengeful ghost for reasons no one knows.

Looking at the notebook Huo Yiye's grandpa left behind, full of records of strange events, and listening to Huo Yiye describe his ultimate wish to find his grandpa, Song Jiayou cautiously asks, "Did your grandpa happen to watch Calabash Brothers or The XX Notebook?"

Huo Yiye thinks it over seriously. "No way. We couldn't afford to get involved with either of those."

A red-clad ghost flashing through an abandoned school dormitory; a foreign elf appearing in the city and shouting, "Master!"; a down-and-out writer hiding death messages in his poems; a ring abandoned in a corner and an unsent letter...

The harder you try to avoid trouble, the more it clings to you. And so begins the hot-blooded goofball's journey of leveling up and fighting monsters!

When they first formed their contract by accident

Huo Yiye, aloof and cool, keeping everyone at arm's length: "I'll send you to be reborn once I find the person who killed you."

Song Jiayou, a gentle top student, impeccably polite: "Thank you. You're a good person."

After they'd spent some time together

Song Jiayou: "Can you stop wasting money, damn it?! What even is this stuff?! Limited-edition God of War underwear? A diamond-encrusted back scratcher? Huo Yiye! If you bring any more of this stuff that hurts my eyes home, I'll take you down with me!"

Huo Yiye: ...He silently hides his secret bank card, draws a circle to curse you into being reborn as a rabbit, then promises to catch you and gobble you up...

Song Jiayou: "Hand it over. I know you have two more cards. Don't make me beat you up!"

Huo Yiye: QAQ

But I really want that commemorative old-man undershirt and the Little Magic Fairy collab dumbbells...

As Ghost Festival approaches and it's time for him to be reborn

Huo Yiye: "How about..."

Song Jiayou: "How about..."

We wait another year?

Being reborn can wait. What's the rush? What? You're saying a vengeful ghost can't kiss a human?

Huo Yiye: "Actually, there is a way. Wait, why are we kissing?"

Song Jiayou: "..."
