Three Mortal Enemies Lose Their Memories [Nonhuman]

My nemesis lost his memory.

After I brought him home, his elegant, aloof face was twisted with pain. He grabbed my hand with trembling fingers and asked, "Tell me, who am I?"

Of course I knew who he was. Everyone knew the two of us couldn't stand each other.

He was always picking fights with me. Whenever I showed up, his face darkened, and every so often he'd call me a "monster!"

I coiled my tentacles around my waist and admitted sheepishly:

I really am a monster.

The big boss from the primordial chaos.

Thinking of how much I resented him for targeting me in the past, I let out a cold laugh. I already had plenty of ways to get back at him in mind.

But my amnesiac nemesis had completely changed.

One day, I returned to camp injured. The "hope of humanity," as everyone called him, approached with his clothes half undone. He discreetly kissed my wound, then looked at me with misty eyes. "I heard this helps wounds heal faster."

Me: "..."

What a guy. Innocent on the surface, seducing me in secret.

Was this really the same taciturn nemesis I remembered?

It seemed he wasn't.

Because I discovered I had three nemeses.

Each one seemed to have lost his memory. Whenever I reminisced with them about the past, their eyes would turn red as they asked, "Shili, who am I?"

I kept wondering what had gone wrong.

In the end, I figured it out.

All right, all right.

It seemed I'd mixed them up.

Because I was the one who'd lost my memory.

I'd gotten my history with them all confused.

For example, my perfect fiance, whom I now regarded as an enemy; my regrettable first love, whom I now regarded as a snake; and my real nemesis, whom I... Ahem.

Besides, that's what they told me.

I don't know if it's true.
