Qiao Chen was a vampire of impure blood, living a truly miserable life that both humans and ghosts despised.

After an accident, his adoptive mother stuffed him into a coffin and buried him while he was still half alive.

And so he slept until the interstellar age, a thousand years later.

It turned out that even after sleeping for a thousand years, he was still unlucky. He'd simply become an antique unlucky person:

He'd barely opened his eyes when he found himself caught up in a chase.

In the midst of danger, a long-haired man who found him took his hand and said, "My name is Bai Nuo'en. May I ask your name?"

Bai Nuo'en was handsome and gentle, but also quick and nimble.

He led Qiao Chen out of the cave in no time.

...And straight into the sunlight.

Qiao Chen: Oh no, I got up too fast and forgot I'm a vampire.

Bai Nuo'en took Qiao Chen, who was full of holes from being burned by the sun, back with him.

When Qiao Chen joined the team using his vampire powers, the muscular combatants at the base said, "Isn't he just a pretty boy? He probably can't even hold a knife steady!"

Qiao Chen, whose face really was very pale, raised an eyebrow and expressionlessly picked a small knife from the armory. He teleported into a swarm of mutated insects, deftly pried open the hard shell on one insect's back, and dug out its brain.

Then he turned around and curled his lips at the strongman, smiling without a hint of warmth.

Strongman: Stop smiling, you're scaring me--

Qiao Chen: You know I had a rough life growing up. I spent a thousand years in a coffin without being able to drink blood, so I'm weak. I need the smell of your blood to soothe me so I can sleep. I promise I'll sleep beside you and won't get too close!

Bai Nuo'en, tightly held in Qiao Chen's arms in the middle of the night: ...

- One-on-one pairing, happy ending.

- Arrogant, unruly vampire top who's devoted to his husband x gentle, reliable, good-tempered engineer bottom, a "super brain."

- Because of his childhood, the top has a somewhat low moral compass and is rebellious early on.

Song Linyi is an NPC. He awakened when he was jolted awake by an SVIP player in a game.

After awakening, Song Linyi didn't think he was special. He had no interest in ruling the game world.

Because he wasn't an ordinary NPC. He was an NPC whose only wish was to be lazy.

Unfortunately, fate had other plans. He accidentally became bound to the SVIP player Qin Xusheng and was dragged into a massive Infinite game.

And so, to survive, Song Linyi began leveling up and fighting monsters, despite dreaming of doing nothing. He used his NPC identity to exploit game bugs like crazy:

The game required players to complete a mission. A whole group of players racked their brains trying to open a door.

Song Linyi walked right up and pushed it open, because he was an NPC.

The game switched to battle royale mode. Only the surviving teams could advance, and the players turned on one another in a brutal bloodbath.

Song Linyi found a corner and fell asleep. The players walked right past with their guns and didn't notice him, because he was an NPC.

The game boss demanded the players play hide-and-seek with her. Anyone she caught would be thrown into a pot to simmer into "syrup," then eaten as candy.

Song Linyi watched the boss run all over the room searching for him, the last player, until she went berserk, while he stood right in front of her.

Song Linyi: ...

It was all because he was an NPC.

He breezed through one game after another.

And so, the lazy finally rose to the top, becoming the Lazy King! (Smug sunglasses grin)

One day, Song Linyi, now the Lazy King, met someone familiar in the game.

Qin Xusheng grabbed Song Linyi as he tried to turn and run, and asked:

"Are you the NPC who ate all the snacks in my inventory after we got bound together?"

Song Linyi gave an awkward laugh and replied:

"Don't blame me. Those bosses kept ignoring me, so I was bored."
