[Marvel/DC Crossover, Nontraditional Watch-Party] Did the Player Act Human Today?

In a nutshell: The canon Batfamily transmigrates into a game world, watches players' disastrous behavior, and has a breakdown.

Your online friend made a game and invited you to review it.

So you played as a character named Batman, teaming up with a group of unbelievably adorable animal assistants to manage Gotham, the city you considered your home in the game.

You worked well together and grew attached to them, but you always kept a clear head, because you knew this was only a fake game.

Look, they're still searching for someone.

But you told them long ago.

There is no Bruce Wayne in this city.

PS: Mostly second-person narration, with some third-person sections. Maybe a silly story about players descending on another world? Includes dark humor. An unconventional Batfamily game-watching story, and particularly unfriendly toward the canon characters, especially the villains. Read at your own risk. Basically, I'm reposting an old story to fill an update slot. Updates when inspiration strikes.

PS: The protagonist has no pairing and is the counterpart from the previous-life IF timeline of the Batman Dog story next door. Their personality is twisted and they're a mess, possibly bad-tempered (?). The characters' values do not represent the author's, so keep that in mind.

Theme: Never give up on yourself.
