The only good news during this time was that he'd found a place to live in a luxury apartment building. Its clean surroundings matched the steep rent: there were no monsters around the building.

Even better, his next-door neighbor was a quiet fund manager whose hobbies were reading and cooking. Qi An loved his former sword subordinates, now his sword friends, but no matter how much you expanded a honmaru housing nearly a hundred male swords, it would still be full of laughter and a whole lot of noisy, unpredictable incidents all day long.

Needing some peaceful daily life to get himself back on track, Qi An sighed and walked into the apartment building carrying a huge bag of household supplies and another huge bag of colorful new candies.

A new tenant moved in next door to Nanami Kento's apartment.

Although a lot of people came to help the new tenant move in, making quite a racket for a while, the building soon returned to its usual quiet.

The new tenant was quiet. Aside from gardening, as shown by all the potted plants on his balcony, he seemed to enjoy kendo. Many of the people who came to help had bags containing swords slung over their backs, and they even carried in a tall sword rack.

He also seemed to have looked after a lot of children. Nanami had seen him buy bags and bags of snacks, candies, cookies, and sweets, then pack them up and send them off more than once.

But Nanami had never seen him going to work. He never appeared in the elevator during commuting hours. He didn't have the dark circles or poor complexion common among office workers. Sometimes, when Nanami came home late after working overtime, he could hear his neighbor leisurely starting to cook a late-night snack...

In short, he seemed to be someone who enjoyed a relaxed life at home... No, maybe he worked from home... But that easygoing manner...

After a whole day of work kicking him in the teeth, Nanami Kento sighed at his now-dark monitor. He decided to wash his face in the office restroom before heading home.
