The Target Cannot Be Selected

On your way home, you happen to run into the recent talk of the town, the King of Curses.

You glance at him and get cut in half. Dead.

You don't look at him and get cleaved into five pieces. Dead.

You can't control yourself and glare at him, so he slices you into mango cubes. Dead.

You angrily switch to another route.

There's no way you can't get home, right? Then he cuts you up into a specimen anyway.

You swear at him: "Quit cutting me up, you old geezer! How many times has this happened? If you're not sick of it, I am! I'm not Pinduoduo, and even if you chop me into teeny-tiny bits of minced meat, you're not going to get a phone for free!"

Naturally, another merciless slash is his reply.

He says, "Oh, I got carried away."

You can't stand him.

But he insists on following you. And when he hears you're going to the Genji mansion to find your mom, he exchanges a look with Uraume and laughs like a maniac.

"There is a Genji family in Kyoto."

"But Minamoto no Yorimitsu, the one you're looking for, died a long time ago. His great-great-grandson is in charge now... So what exactly is your mother?"

You don't listen, you don't listen.

This old geezer is so wicked!

How dare he deceive an innocent, kind little girl like you!

How could the Source God be dead?

He's your clan leader and savior.

Everyone knows that no balding onmyoji who spent seven years farming soul upgrades can compare to one slash from the Source God; and no legendary weapon, not even Ame no Habakiri, can match the Source God's Heavenly Punishment: Eight Blossoms Slash!

You only snuck out for a little stroll without telling your mom. How could the Source God possibly be dead? Even when Heian-kyo was destroyed, the Source God was just fine!

You want to go home.

You want to go back to your mom.

You want to tell her that today you met a wicked old kidnapper who tried to scare you by saying you could never go home again. You were terrified, and now you need Mom to kiss you, hug you, and lift you up high.
