But things did not go as he had hoped. Before the King of Curses could get his chance, Saginomiya Minamu died.

By the time he arrived, she had already stopped breathing. Blood flowed down the long stairs, seemingly without end.

He had wanted to laugh, but for some reason, fell silent instead. Crouching down, he lifted her bloodstained hair and finally spat out, "Utterly foolish."

From then on, he could never stop thinking about the day she descended the mountain.

It had rained without pause that day. She turned to look at him and said, "I'm not coming back."

That scene haunted him until one day, he awoke inside a brat named Itadori.

Once again, he saw that familiar face. Its owner leaned close, covering her lips as she whispered intimately to the body he now inhabited: "What's the King of Curses to me? I like Yuji the most, you know."

Saginomiya Minamu was never dead.

As an apprentice divine attendant, she had once been sent to the jujutsu world to complete her promotion trial: "Make the King of Curses abandon evil and embrace goodness."

But after some time, the mission had made no progress, while her list of ambiguous love interests had inexplicably grown a mile long.

With her target's killing intent toward her rising by the day and her admirers making her life unbearable, Saginomiya Minamu decisively faked her death and disappeared.

After failing her last mission, she had learned her lesson. For her second trial, she chose the easiest task: all she had to do was protect a sunny young man.

Though it was the same world as her previous mission, she had heard that the King of Curses had long since been sealed away.

With no worries to hold her back, she happily accepted the assignment. But before long, things went wrong again.

Her target's friends were all strange. Even though they knew she and Yuji were together, they repeatedly made advances, insisting they could offer her a "better choice."

Things spiraled further and further out of control.

One day, when she returned home, black markings had appeared on her little sunshine's face. The King of Curses spoke from Yuji's mouth, his voice chillingly sinister: "Back from the dead, Divine Lotus?"

She thought another fierce battle was coming, but instead he pinned her to the sofa with her arms twisted behind her back.

Before Saginomiya Minamu could even react, the King of Curses' scorching breath fell against her ear. "Didn't you like me best? Have you changed your tastes?"

1. The heroine is a naturally awful person, emotionally dense, and an oblivious, self-righteous schemer who thinks she's kind. She's an unconscious master at training dogs.

2. There is a plotline where people from the technical college travel back to the Heian period, along with lots of original settings. The story opens with the heroine's first mission, which takes place in the Heian period.

3. A messy, everyone-loves-the-heroine harem story. Everyone thinks they and the heroine are bound together by fate from a past life to this one, and there are plenty of scenes where male characters fight over her.

4. The title is from the King of Curses' perspective.

5. The heroine has only been with men who were virgins, and the hero has only been with women who were virgins. There is a slight romance with young Toji, but none with adult Toji.

Theme: No matter how many times you fail, you must have the courage to try again.
