Female Alpha, Male Beta: A Little Sweet

[This story has gone way too far off track, so I plan to finish updating the one next door first, then come back and give this one a major rewrite.]

Huo Qingyue graduated with honors from the Royal Military Academy and came of age at just the right time. The year she graduated, the Interstellar Alliance of Advanced Intelligences signed a century-long peace treaty.

In other words, the military became redundant on the very day she graduated.

With no internal or external threats to worry about, His Majesty the Emperor decided to launch a sweeping campaign against the problems within his realm.

But the Empire's ills had been festering for a long time, and the noble clans wielded a tangled web of power. Where to begin was a difficult question.

Then a string of murders on the capital planet gave the Emperor an opportunity.

As the daughter of the Marshal, the foremost royalist, Huo Qingyue was sent to investigate in secret.

After being double-crossed, Su Yu disguised herself and went out in person to deal with the traitor.

In the dim back alley of a bar, Su Yu, dressed like an office worker, met Huo Qingyue for the first time.

The female Alpha wore a tight-fitting suit, looking like a bar hostess. She faced down three thugs without changing her expression, and her graceful fighting style beneath the moonlight was captivating.

Huo Qingyue first saw Su Yu outside a coffee shop. Bathed in the afternoon sun, she seemed to embody a peaceful, carefree life. Her sweet, serene face was impossible to forget.

Under this beautiful misunderstanding, Su Yu, pretending to be an ordinary office worker, came to the bar where Huo Qingyue was undercover.

One was a naive little rabbit pretending to broaden her horizons. The other was pretending to be a bar hostess, deliberately approaching her.

Years after they married, they looked back on everything that had happened. Su Yu, now the owner of the largest underground organization on the capital planet, asked curiously,

"If you'd known who I was from the start, would you still have fallen for me?"

With his unchanged beauty nestled in her arms, Huo Qingyue replied,

"Probably. I would have just captured you and made you my wife, which would have saved us all that trouble."
