Yu Zhou's entire understanding of the insect race comes from an informational article on some site whose name might have been "Green Fat, Red Thin."
After transmigrating, he finds himself a top-tier male insect with an SSS-level mental strength, and his first reaction is to feel a thrill of excitement.
This is a world where male insects reign supreme. Adult males can marry as many females as they want, and all female property belongs to males.
But Yu Zhou's reality is this:
From the moment he was still an egg, his mother taught him that he should grow up to be a good male insect who respects females, understands them, doesn't hit them carelessly, and doesn't take pleasure in abusing them.
After hatching, Yu Zhou is brainwashed by a horde of females in his enormous family, who tell him to be a good male insect for the new era. In the end, they even rope him into their revolution.
Until he comes of age, Yu Zhou grows up according to the hopes of all those females. But the first problem he faces as an adult male is the law requiring him to choose a primary spouse.
After much careful consideration, Yu Zhou arrives at the doorstep of the commander of the insect race's Tenth Legion.
To be honest, he's had his eye on this cold butterfly for a long time. He just never had a chance to get close before. This time, he's here on official orders to choose a spouse, so no matter how reluctant the other man is, he can't refuse to meet him.
At their first matchmaking meeting, the butterfly says haughtily and coldly, "If you want to marry me, you have to agree to three conditions."
Yu Zhou obediently nods, ready to hear them out.
The butterfly never expected this male insect not to get angry, and to look so well-behaved as he listened. This unexpected reaction surprises him, but he still goes on:
"First, I won't quit my job and stay home as your full-time primary spouse after we marry."
"Second, my property is mine, so we'll sign a prenuptial agreement."
"Third, I will be your only female insect. You can't marry any other female insects or sleep with any outside the marriage. Otherwise, the marriage is automatically void."
After listing these three conditions, the butterfly eagerly waits for the male insect in front of him to start cursing and call off the match.
But Yu Zhou thinks about it and decides these all sound like basic rules for marriage. He did initially want to have a whole harem, but after seeing so many female insects and witnessing their miserable circumstances firsthand, he genuinely wants to change things for them.
So none of the butterfly's conditions are a problem. Yu Zhou readily agrees, then looks at him expectantly and asks, "Shall we sign the agreement now?"
Completely dumbfounded, the butterfly signs the prenuptial agreement in a daze, swept along by Yu Zhou's formidable efficiency, and they quickly hold their wedding ceremony.
Even before their wedding night, the butterfly is still studying the surreal agreement to make sure it's legally valid.
Then he can't help asking the tall, handsome male insect from the bottom of his heart, "What exactly are you plotting?"
Having married the female insect of his dreams, Yu Zhou doesn't care about any of that. He pulls his new spouse into his arms, gives him a kiss, and says mysteriously, "You'll find out later."
