Chosen Empress, Livestreaming Her Coronation

A sky screen suddenly appears, shimmering with dazzling light, and the entire court is in an uproar.

[I'll come clean: I'm a die-hard fan of Emperor Chao'an!

Who wouldn't want to witness the splendor of an emperor who ushered in an age of peace and prosperity? Who wouldn't want to take part in a passionate, tumultuous era?]

Emperor Hui is thrilled. "A heavenly omen! The Great Lin dynasty has heaven's protection!"

The posthumous title Emperor Chao'an must have been given to me by later generations!

As soon as he finishes speaking, the sky screen says: "The Great Lin dynasty fell in the thirtieth year of Emperor Hui's reign..."

Emperor Hui and everyone else: It's year twenty-nine...

[Emperor Chao'an waged war with iron resolve, expanded the realm, and personally led the troops into battle...]

The eldest prince, skilled in martial arts and long harboring thoughts of rebellion, straightens his back: That emperor of the age must be me!

[Emperor Chao'an knew how to appoint capable people, kept the court clear of corruption, and diligently served the people...]

The refined second prince, adored by scholars, smiles faintly: The enlightened ruler must be me!

The sky screen lists Emperor Chao'an's many achievements. Under her rule, the people live in peace and contentment, the realm is tranquil and prosperous, the surrounding tribes submit, and foreign nations come to pay tribute! No wonder the sky screen praises such a glorious era.

The first, second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth princes are all convinced it's them. They exchange heated glares, as if fighting a battle with their eyes, and the air reeks of gunpowder.

[Emperor Chao'an was not only an exemplary ruler. For women, she was also a shining light and a blazing flame!

She once said: I am Princess Canhua, an emperor of my age, and a woman who broke free from her cage and soared into the sky!]

As soon as these words are spoken, Princess Canhua becomes the focus of the whole realm.

How can a woman go to war?

How can a woman attend court and discuss affairs of state?

How can a woman become emperor?

But an era ruled by an empress sounds so wonderful!

There's more grain than the granaries can hold, every child can go to school, and the realm stretches across the sea. How amazing!

Civil officials and generals eager to make their mark: We want an empress!

The people living in misery: We want an empress!

Princess Canhua smiles confidently: I want to be empress!

Emperor Hui reluctantly abdicates. Everyone escorts Princess Canhua to the throne, and the ceremony is complete!

Let's step together into the glorious age of an empress that we've all been dreaming of!
