Xie Shu is the only daughter of the late emperor and his first empress, and the only granddaughter of the Grand General Who Guards the Nation.
From the day she was born, the current emperor raised her by his own side. Even the princes had to take a back seat. She was adored beyond compare.
As long as she didn't betray her country, she should have been able to live a carefree, extravagant life.
But after falling into the water one day, she discovered that she was nothing more than a cannon-fodder supporting character in a novel.
In the book, she set aside her status as a princess and desperately pursued the heir of the Duke of An, but he treated her with utter indifference, turning her into a laughingstock in the capital.
Yet that same heir became the protector of the original heroine, Third Miss Lu.
The original male lead was the Third Prince, who was initially out of favor and hid his true abilities behind a harmless facade.
With Xie Anning's help, he later won the emperor's favor and ultimately seized the throne.
But then, for the heroine's sake, he casually said, “Put the Grand Princess under house arrest.”
As for the original heroine, Third Miss Lu of the Lu family was known throughout the capital as a “living bodhisattva,” and her good name had spread far and wide.
Meanwhile, Xie Shu was a spoiled brat who bullied others with her power and was despised by everyone.
After learning the truth, Xie Shu spread her hands. Fine, a spoiled brat it is. What else can she do? She gives up trying.
But then: “Ding! The Gossip System is now online.”

The people of the capital soon noticed that the Grand Princess had become more and more domineering.
At a banquet, the heir of the Duke of An stepped in front of Third Miss Lu. “Your Highness, if you have a problem, take it up with me. It has nothing to do with Third Miss Lu...”
With a sharp crack, a red, swollen whip mark appeared on the heir's face.
Amid the crowd's astonished stares, Xie Shu leisurely lowered her riding crop and lifted her chin. “Since you put it that way, I'd lose face if I didn't grant your wish.”

At a flower-viewing banquet, a young lady from a prominent family left the party because of a problem with her clothes. As she followed a maid farther and farther from the crowd, she realized she had fallen into a trap.
Just as she began to worry that her reputation would be ruined, a pleasant female voice rang out. “Hey, you up ahead! Need a bodyguard? Fifty taels each, no haggling.”
The young lady turned around and saw the Grand Princess, the talk of the capital, standing there with a dozen or so strong, sturdy matrons at her side.
Her eyes lit up. Forgetting all about proper decorum, the young lady blurted out, “Yes, yes! Five of them. No, ten!”
Xie Shu was happily counting the five hundred taels in banknotes when an anxious-looking young nobleman with a strange complexion suddenly rushed around the corner.
Xie Shu took one look and thought, Oh, here comes more money! She waved her hand. “You there! Need an antidote? I can cure any kind of love potion or mind-altering drug. Five hundred taels a dose, no haggling.”
The young nobleman had thought his reputation was about to be ruined after being set up that day. Now, it was as if he had heard heavenly music. Ignoring the pain of parting with his money, he shouted, “Yes!”
By the end of the flower-viewing banquet, Xie Shu had earned a thousand taels without lifting a finger. Beaming, she bragged to the Gossip System, “Gossip's so nice, gossip's divine, gossip brings in money every time!”
But later, when she saw the skills she could unlock through the Gossip System, Xie Shu spread her hands and nearly burst into tears. No, she only wanted to hear gossip and laze around! How had she ended up saddled with such a heavy responsibility?
P.S. In the early story, she gossips and takes down scoundrels. Later, she gets down to business.
The heroine isn't entirely good and pure. She's an ordinary Grand Princess with an exceptionally powerful background.
Theme: Be self-reliant and make your way to success
What the hell is the eldest princess? The meaning of eldest princess is that this lady is the emperor's aunt, the eldest princess means the emperor's sister, and the princess means the emperor's daughter. The only way to gain this favor is to work hard on titles and fiefdoms. Why did the emperor's niece become the eldest princess? The emperor turned his niece into an aunt?
