DN: The Reaper's Darling

Reader's note:

Misa Amane: the woman loved by two Shinigami. Both Shinigami gave up their lives one after the other to protect the adorable, charming Misa.

A thought I had at the time:

The Shinigami should have just written down the names of Misa Amane's enemies in the Death Note back then. Her affection level would have shot right up!

A fanfiction about Misa Amane and the two Shinigami Gelus and Rem. (Crack ship.) I don't know how to describe this feeling. Don't hate on me, I'm practicing and writing for love.

I also realized that I really like writing about all of Misa's adorable qualities from other people's points of view.

Personal headcanons:

Shinigami can choose to take the form of handsome men when they come to the human world, and each stands over two meters tall.

Gelus is a shut-in in the Shinigami realm, with a world-weary air. He's devoted and romantic in love.

Rem is quiet and reserved on the outside, but very attentive and caring toward Misa. She's gentle in nature, at least where Misa is concerned.

Both of them are willing to risk everything and sacrifice themselves for love.

Content warnings:

1. Out-of-character portrayals.

2. The original plot will definitely change, and Light may not be treated kindly (he gets written out of the story).

3. Please note that there are depictions of BLUE.

4. If you're looking for brilliant strategists facing off, this may not be for you.
