Becoming the Lover of the Evil God

Su Tangyin's marriage was happy, or at least that was how it seemed to everyone else. Her husband was tall and handsome, gentle and considerate, successful in his career, and had pursued her ardently and devotedly for two years.

After they walked down the aisle, however, things began to change.

The faint sense of being watched at home, his increasingly rough behavior in bed, his arms holding her tight through the night, and the occasional whispers in her ear that seemed to come from another world.

He kept calling her, "Baby, baby."

So Su Tangyin handed her husband the divorce papers.

The person seated across from her fell silent in the still darkness, his eyes fixed on her. His unfamiliar expression made her want to run.

He laughed.

Then thick, dark mist began to spread. A colorful tentacle emerged from it, then a second, a third... until the entire room was filled.

Su Tangyin's heart pounded. "Y-you're not him. Who are you?!"

His black eyes turned dark blue. Tentacles wrapped around her waist and drew her into his arms.

"Baby, why are you saying such silly things?"

He leaned closer and kissed her neck. His cold breath made her shiver.

"I'm your husband."

*

He was born in the primordial chaos and slumbered in endless darkness.

Until one day, a human awakened him.

The lofty Evil God disguised himself as a human, suppressing his instinct to possess and his intense desires as he pursued her, drew close to her, and laid a trap to watch her fall step by step into the abyss named after him.

Once she had become entirely his, his desire finally erupted.

The Evil God no longer wanted to pretend.

[They're only eighteen tentacles. Why does my wife think that's too many?]

[Keeping up this human act is exhausting. I want to cuddle with my wife so badly.]

[Every tentacle wants to have a sweet, sweet romance with my wife.]

Reader's Guide:

1. The heroine's husband is the Evil God from beginning to end. At first, he plays the harmless fool and pretends to be human. After they marry, he can't suppress his nature and begins testing his wife's limits little by little.

2. A sweet romance. The male lead is head over heels for her, a complete love-struck fool.

3. The male lead isn't aloof. He's clingy and a little obsessive, and calls her "baby" a lot. The tentacles are parts of the male lead, but each has its own consciousness and can talk. They're chatterboxes, so don't read if that bothers you. Please check the content warning in the author's note after chapter one before reading.
