[Showbiz] Famous at a Young Age

In 1995, 15-year-old Alvin stood beneath the Jive Records building, anxiously waiting for his big break. Just one year later, his name would set the entire Western music scene ablaze.

[Come discover the secret behind the King of Pop's two-decade reign.]

[Before You Read]

The update schedule is a little irregular. Life is very busy, so updates will probably be weekly.

1. This is about the Western entertainment and music scene!

2. The protagonist will have many romances: some all-consuming, some purely physical, and some with huge age gaps. In short, fanfiction writers, don't expect too much logic.

3. I wrote this to promote songs, so every song is based on a real one. But this isn't a plagiarism story. The songs have been heavily altered for copyright reasons.

4. Parallel universe, separate the artist from the art. There have been too many scandals in the Western entertainment world, so please don't attack each other.

"After Working for Years, I Returned to My Senior Year of High School. Should I Thank a Battle Royale for Saving My Life?"

Qi Ji was a poor overworked salaryman, exhausted every day as he wondered how he would make it through another day. Then one day, he woke up and was horrified to find himself sitting for the entrance exam to his senior year of high school.

Around him were classmates whose names he couldn't remember. Before him was a math test he couldn't understand at all. His high school crush was sitting to his left, but Qi Ji was in no mood to admire a handsome young student.

Breaking into a cold sweat, he tried to read the question in front of him:

1. If the function y=f(x) is even, then...

What was an even function again?

Qi Ji's vision went black. He started pressing his philtrum.

Heavens! He switched from science to the humanities in college!

Why not just let me die already?!

But a System suddenly appeared before him:

[Strong suicidal intent detected in Host! You're going to die anyway, so don't waste it. Why not join our super thrilling live-action adventure game? You'll get to experience a heart-pounding thrill like never before!]

[If you succeed, any wish can come true! If you fail, you'll just go back to your failed life!]

Beep beep beep

After a burst of censored noise, Qi Ji still chose to give up.

He could die, but he couldn't let his monthly exam score drop from 650 to 250! Losing those 400 points was just as bad as dying!

And so Qi Ji began a life of doing practice problems by day and playing battle royale by night, studying early and choosing suicide late.

What a truly exhilarating School & Me!

This is a recurring nightmare the author has. Let's experience the terror together, hahaha!
