Clumsy little sweetheart × sharp-tongued, flirtatious, shameless big shot
The paranormal descended and invaded the real world. Many people were dragged into alternate spaces by the strange creatures lurking there.
When they first arrived, they were completely bewildered, toyed with by the creatures hiding in the white fog.
When the creatures were in a good mood, they led people through survival games in another world.
When they were in a bad mood, a casual attack left the ground strewn with blood and severed limbs.
Later, a legend began circulating in the space.
If you're being hunted by a strange creature and a "Healing Inn" suddenly appears ahead of you, don't hesitate. Run inside!
Lots of people did just that.
But the innkeeper only grinned wickedly and said something nonsensical: "Another new hire?"
Then he turned around and tore the creature to shreds. "Don't just barge into my place, damn it! I have rules to protect my employees. If you scare them, your insurance is paying for it, got that?"
After that, whenever people mentioned the innkeeper, they'd look around first, then spit on the ground when nobody was watching. "Ugh! A smiling snake! A total skinflint!"
Shi Zhizhu was the owner of a flower shop on Huaixi Street. With broad shoulders, a slim waist, and a face like a beauty's, he had captured countless hearts.
Too bad he was cold by nature and sharp-tongued.
One night, he was woken by the sudden sound of a suona beside his ear. Still in a foul mood from being disturbed, he got up and went outside, ready to shout at whoever was making the noise. But somehow, a thick fog had spread across the street.
When he turned around, his flower shop had vanished without a trace, leaving only dense white fog all around him.
He was lucky enough to come across a hotel as he walked. The name was rather strange, though: the "Healing Inn."
The lobby was crowded with all kinds of people. Thinking there wouldn't be any rooms left, he turned to leave, but a hooligan reached out and stopped him, leering as he looked him up and down.
The two of them started arguing. Just as they were about to come to blows, a voice called down from upstairs: "Who's making all that damn noise?"
Everyone in the lobby suddenly held their breath.
They seemed terrified of that person.
He looked up and saw a man with a cigarette between his lips, one leg slightly bent, casually resting one hand on the wooden railing of the spiral staircase. His voice was lazy and unconcerned. "What is this? You trying to start something?"
The man who'd been acting so brazenly immediately became meek as a lamb. "Boss, did we wake you? I'm really sorry. A new guy came in today and doesn't know the rules, so I was just going to teach him a lesson."
Shan Ci put out his cigarette and gave him a fleeting glance. "Are you the boss, or am I? Do I need you to teach anyone a damn thing?"
Shan Ci had lost his memory. He only remembered his own name. He didn't know when he'd come to this place or why.
When he first opened his eyes, there was an exquisite crimson card lying on his chest. It read: "Wishing Boss Shan great success on your grand opening!"
He looked at the enormous hotel and shook his head.
Oh, so I own this place.
Unfortunately, the hotel was too big, and he was too lazy, so he put up a notice by the entrance: Walk in and you're hired.
He watched as more and more people rushed in like madmen, nodded in satisfaction, and put them to work immediately.
But perhaps life was too monotonous. He always felt an emptiness inside.
Then one day, the white fog outside the hotel began to churn violently. The strange creatures lurking within stirred restlessly, and an odd, tingling ache rose in his heart.
The next moment, Shi Zhizhu walked in.
"My heartbeat recognized you before I did."
