[Over-the-top melodrama! Over-the-top melodrama! An absolute flood of over-the-top melodrama!!!]

Blurb One:

Word had it that a young gentleman from the capital had arrived at the long-vacant estate outside town.

Gu Zhuochun sneaked over the wall to take a look. As she peered over the top, she met the young gentleman's gaze.

He didn't scold her. Instead, he smiled warmly at her, his eyes crinkling.

Gu Zhuochun thought, What a refined and gentle young gentleman.

Only later did she learn that he was a madman, a devil, the nightmare that jolted her awake in the middle of the night.

"This time, I could hide you away for three months. Next time, I can imprison you for three years."

Blurb Two:

On the Shangsi Festival in the fourth year of the Jingxing era, Gu Zhuochun and Ji Nianzhi went boating together in broad daylight. She confessed her feelings and poured out her heart to him.

But every servant had been sent out of the room, and the door, which should have been left open, suddenly swung shut. Gu Zhuochun felt uneasy, but still waited for Ji Nianzhi's reply.

Instead, Ji Nianzhi stroked her cheek, bent down, and kissed and bit her lips roughly. A moment later, he called her by her childhood nickname in a gentle voice: "A Ling, how does it feel to kiss your elder brother?"

Gu Zhuochun's face went pale. At last, she understood.

Ji Nianzhi had seduced her as part of a revenge plot against her mother.
