Upcoming: I Really Didn't Mean to Seduce the West Coast Old Money! (Probably launching over winter break. Please add it to your favorites!)
Recently, the paparazzi dug up the biggest scandal to ever hit the wealthy elite:
The two most prominent business rivals in Jianghai City, the powerful Zhuang and Yan families, accidentally switched their babies at birth twenty-three years ago.
Zhuang Chengyue, notorious for being a playboy and a wastrel, should have been the Yan family's third young master;
Yan Zhigui, calculating, arrogant, and looking down on everyone, should have been the Zhuang family's precious eldest grandson.
The families had been enemies for years, and their children had treated each other as rivals, battling constantly in business and picking plenty of personal fights as well.
Zhuang Chengyue once stole the Zhuang family's eldest son's date, took the Yan family's second son's prized horse, and snatched a limited-edition car Yan Zhigui had his eye on. After wrecking it, he had it delivered to Yan Zhigui as a taunt;
Yan Zhigui once forced the acquisition of the Zhuang family's eldest son-in-law's startup, sabotaged the Zhuang family's second daughter's corporate merger, and beat Zhuang Chengyue at the racetrack, forcing him to kneel on one knee in front of everyone and sing "I Surrender."
When the Yan family mentioned Zhuang Chengyue, they sneered and called him "that good-for-nothing from the Zhuang family";
When the Zhuang family mentioned Yan Zhigui, they ground their teeth and called him "that little bastard from the Yan family."
Blood might be thicker than water, but they couldn't bring themselves to accept their real families just yet.
The two powerful family heads, who never met face-to-face, decided to sit down and talk. After an all-night discussion, they reached a decision:
To keep the families' stock prices stable, they would keep the baby mix-up secret for now. And to help both families adjust smoothly, the two young men would enter a one-year marriage contract, with a super-luxurious villa included as their transitional love nest.
Zhuang Chengyue and Yan Zhigui: ??? We're both straight!
The parents: Sweethearts, come home more often, and bring your partners!
To Zhuang Chengyue, Yan Zhigui was the vindictive "Yan Turtle." To Yan Zhigui, Zhuang Chengyue was the smiling snake "Fake Nice Guy." They were more than just rivals who never crossed paths: even hearing each other's names made them want to tear into the other.
But to keep their companies from taking a devastating hit and to protect their inheritances, they gritted their teeth and agreed to get married. Then they cheerfully set three ground rules:
Zhuang Chengyue ordered imperiously: Stay away from me!
Yan Zhigui was brief and to the point: Get lost!
Some time later.
The parents from both families arrived at the villa at the same time to check on their children, who never came home.
They waited and waited, but neither man came downstairs, so their worried relatives went upstairs to look for them.
They couldn't find them in any of the rooms. As they passed the kitchen pantry, they heard a little noise.
When they opened the pantry door, the two men who used to fight every time they met were kissing passionately.
Caught in the act, they both managed awkward but polite smiles.
Zhuang Chengyue blushed scarlet: We have a marriage certificate! Honey, say something!
Yan Zhigui looked at him with eyes full of love: It's true love.
A cunning, adorable drama queen bottom vs. a clever, calculating, arrogant top
Two fake young masters
Reader's Guide:
1. They were both pretty awful before, but neither crossed the line. They're law-abiding citizens, though not perfect people, and each has their own strengths and flaws. The two families have very different environments: one is open-minded and easygoing, while the other is an old-fashioned patriarchal household with plenty of infighting.
2. Both are virgins, and this is both of their first loves. 1v1, HE. The bottom has a reputation as a playboy, but he actually keeps himself very much in check. The top is just too busy to have time for anyone else (sure). The story will explain how the babies got switched.
3. Same-sex marriage is legal in this setting, which takes place in a fictional city. The romance is the main focus. There will be some variety-show content about married couples when the plot calls for it, but it's not a major storyline, so I haven't added related tags. Just a heads-up.
4. The two male leads' names were inspired by the line "How many return beneath the moon, while its setting light stirs emotions over the river trees," from Zhang Ruoxu's "Moonlit Night on the Spring River." They're from prominent families, after all, so their names had to be carefully chosen.
5. The main story is just over 500,000 words, not all that long. Subscribe to more than 50% of it to unlock 100,000 words of bonus side stories, featuring a secondary couple's groveling pursuit of their love. (Important!)
6. A preview of a new bonus side story: the scumbag older brother Cao Huaijin gets thoroughly devoured by a younger top. I'm working on it, hehe. Probably a cool, calculating queen bottom vs. a dashing, reckless puppy top.
Upcoming:
I Really Didn't Mean to Seduce the West Coast Old Money
Tao Lang vs. Killian Brophy
A shy, sweet, soft-spoken, secretly horny international student vs. an abstinent, obsessive, domineering old-money heir
Tao Lang came to the United States to study in middle school. After graduating high school, he got into Stanford, making his whole family proud.
But he always had one regret: he had never found a big, muscular top to have a passionate romance with.
Now that he was in college, his mother, who had accompanied him all these years, was finally returning home. It was time to let loose!
He might be a horndog on the inside, but he was a coward on the outside. When he passed the school's sports field and saw all those sweaty, hot-bodied hunks, he could only sneak glances. He didn't have the nerve to approach anyone.
One day, he and his roommate sneaked into a costume party. Since everyone was wearing masks, Tao Lang got tipsy enough to boldly flirt with a hunk. Who knew the man would pin him against a door and nearly devour him? Tao Lang fled like Cinderella at midnight.
His roommate said meaningfully, "You're something else, flirting with Killian Brophy of all people!"
Tao Lang looked bewildered. "Who is that?"
Killian Brophy is the youngest son of the fourth generation of the Brophy family, an old-money clan on the American West Coast. The family made its fortune in shipping and port trade before expanding into entertainment and real estate. To Tao Lang, Killian might as well have lived in another world.
Though he kept a low profile and wasn't as ostentatious as new money, he was still well known locally, thanks to his handsome face and incredible physique.
He had the classic Irish look: strawberry-blond hair, cool fair skin, and a pair of pale blue, icy eyes. He excelled at fencing, sailing, and other individual sports. At 193 centimeters tall, with broad shoulders, a narrow waist, and long legs, he had a body that made men and women alike drool.
Rumor had it he was still a virgin.
"No way. Absolutely no way!" Tao Lang didn't believe it. "What American guy is still a virgin in his twenties, especially one who looks like that?"
His roommate gave him a mysterious look. "He's not aloof, but he's very abstinent. He's never had a male or female companion seen with him. More importantly..."
"I heard his mother has him wear a chastity cage all the time to prevent him from fathering a child out of wedlock..."
But one day, Tao Lang believed the gossip and got into bed with Killian, thinking, "Nothing's definitely going to happen." When Killian's belt came off, Tao Lang was stunned!
Chastity cage, my ass! There's nothing here but a lethal weapon!
"What? You believed that ridiculous gossip too?" Killian smiled wickedly. His icy blue eyes were now burning with passion as he pinned Tao Lang's hands over his head. "So dorky, so cute."
That night, Tao Lang was thoroughly devoured.
A one-night stand feels great in the moment, but trying to say goodbye leads straight to heartbreak.
Tao Lang never dared hope anything could come of it with an old-money heir. But Killian seemed to have come down with a serious case of "Tao Lang withdrawal," and wouldn't stop pursuing him. Before long, the Brophy family took notice.
There was no generous offer of "Here's a few million, leave my son." Instead, there were countless soap-opera twists. The old-money family could easily ruin a struggling international student with a snap of their fingers.
If we can't afford to mess with them, can't we at least run away?
Huh? How did this suddenly turn into The CEO's Runaway Little Wife?
Tao Lang dodged and hid, but couldn't escape the old-money heir's "clutches." Eventually, Killian cornered him in his arms, acting domineering but speaking softly: "I'll take care of my family, but you can't leave me. We're married now, so you have to take responsibility for me, hubby~"
Tao Lang: "..."
He looked down at the ancestral Brophy family ring on his left ring finger, his feelings complicated.
Don't drink when you get married, and don't get married when you drink. Tao Lang was so confused and helpless.
What should he do now? Keep "running away," or truly become a "little wife"?
Reader's Notes
1. They are both virgins and this is both of their first loves. I have my own explanation for the American guy (doge).
2. Lots of melodrama. Lots and lots of classic melodrama.
3. "Hubby" is an affectionate, playful way of saying "husband." A chastity cage is a device worn to prevent sexual activity.
Theme: Overcome prejudice, see each other's strengths, and get along harmoniously.
Damn it, Su Gou said too much.
Well done Yan Wugui!! This kind of scumbag gay friend really needs to consider whether your friendship needs to continue. Speaking of which, is Su Gou really not afraid that Xiao Yueyue and Ritian will beat him to death now?
Oh, it would be nice to stop here. Zhou Zhou is too relieved about Su Gou, probably because of the example of Yan Wugui, and the two of them grew up together, but people are different, and they know each other's faces but not their hearts.
Zhou Zhou fell into the trap entirely because he was kind!
I have to say, this reunion is quite romantic. Su Gou must have put in a lot of effort behind the scenes [Gotou]
Is Su Gou punishing himself 🐶 🐶 🐶
I finally have some sincerity, which is better than hiding in the closet.
It's disgusting. This is completely different from his previous one. This is too much of a pretense. An unequal relationship has no results. Suddenly, Su is rotten in my place. . .
It was delivered to your door, right? Torture him! Torture him severely! Tonic, let this crispy dog go!
Beat him to death and burn him to ashes in the crematorium
