Who Doesn't Want to Become an Immortal?

Wang Qiangjun clawed her way up from obscurity to become one of the upper echelons of the cultivation world. She was just one tribulation away from reaching the Great Ascension stage, the pinnacle of cultivation.

To go further, Wang Qiangjun chose an unorthodox path.

Suppress her cultivation, enter the mortal world, invent a backstory, and win people's sympathy.

Use every means necessary to find a man who truly loves her and whom she truly loves.

Then... kill her husband to prove her Dao!

I think most people in this world are fools. They probably think much the same of me.

Besides, the result matters far more than the process.

As long as you gain enough power, no one cares how you got it.

...As it happens, her archenemy, Shen Tuiyao, the Sword Immortal of Yaoshan, thinks the same way. To the world, he's a gentle, kindhearted, peerlessly handsome man. In reality, he's all smiles to your face and something else behind your back.

Advance to the highest heavens, retreat to the deepest hells. For countless millennia, walk alone through the world, free and at ease.

Who in this world doesn't want to become an immortal?

A heroine who clawed her way up from obscurity and wants to kill her husband to prove her Dao vs. a noble-born hero who wants to kill his wife to prove his Dao

No idea whether it'll be a happy ending. Everything is for the sake of immortality.
