A Round-Based Romance with Gang Jun

The System kidnapped me. It told me that if I could win over the male protagonist of a manga, it would help me come back to life.

Looking at the list of shonen manga it gave me, I fell into thought. There were gods and ghosts and all sorts of things. It didn't look very safe, did it?

Then I spotted the one I'd overlooked: "XX Teacher."

Nice. It looked like an uplifting, positive story, so you're the one!

It wasn't until I'd hit a bunch of bad endings across countless playthroughs that I finally realized something about this world's setting seemed off.

Help! I thought this was supposed to be an inspirational coming-of-age story. How did it turn into a fantasy battle series?

On my first playthrough, I thought my boyfriend was an utterly ordinary, even somewhat gentle good-for-nothing office worker. I had no idea he was the boss of the underworld's largest organization, even when I died.

On my second playthrough, I got to start over in my boyfriend's teenage years. Was this our chance for a sweet school romance? But when I faced death without warning yet again, I learned his true identity.

On my third playthrough, I did everything I could to get stronger and avoid any contact with the mafia. I finally made it to twenty-five safe and sound, and then the world went poof and was destroyed!

After countless playthroughs, when I got another bad ending, I finally began to understand. This hadn't been a game for a long time. What I had thought was fate's gift had already been given a price in secret.

Theme: Nothing is impossible if you are willing to strive.
