Hello, everyone. My name is Winston, Winston Edgeworth. You can also call me Disaronno. I'm seventeen this year, and I'm half British, half Japanese.
For generations, my family has worked for a multinational corporation, and naturally, I joined the company as soon as I was old enough to remember.
I didn't mind. The group... I mean, the company, paid me, gave me a place to live, and enrolled me in school. I was young, so joining was basically like getting free tutoring. I wouldn't have to do any real work until after I graduated from elementary school.
Until then, all I had to do was go to school.
Anyway, when I was five, my mother took me to the company hospital for a checkup, and a voice suddenly popped into my head.
It cried: [I bound to the wrong person! Aaaah! This British-Japanese kid is so little, how can he follow the plot?! He can't even read manga yet!!!]
Me: ...
What does "British-Japanese kid" mean? What manga?
I was so scared that I cried and asked the researcher examining me if I was going to die.
The researcher was startled too. They turned me this way and that, examining me over and over, nearly resorting to an autopsy to see what had gone wrong.
While I was being examined, the voice told me it was called the System. It was supposed to have lots of functions, but because it had been bound to me by mistake, most of them were locked. All it could do now was let me read a manga that predicted the future, and even that was an abridged, serialized version.
I understood. I had a superpower.
When I grew up, I officially joined the company and used the manga to clean house internally. Then the BOSS sent me to Japan to go to school, get into the police academy, and get close to the "good guys" in the manga alongside my teammates on a mission.
I'm Disaronno, one of the executives in the organization's British branch.
I'm the BOSS's prophet.
A few things to know before reading:
1. The protagonist is a genuine criminal, and a real high school student. He won't defect or have his identity exposed. The organization won't fall. This is in the same series as the author's other work, "How to Infiltrate the Good Guys as a Real Criminal."
2. The timeline has been altered. Anything that doesn't match the original is my own invention, for convenience.
3. The current pairing is a certain high school detective from Osaka. It's probably going to be a school romance.
4. My writing is terrible, my tastes are unrestricted, and everyone is wildly out of character. I'll write whatever makes me happy and don't care what happens to the readers. If anything feels off, I recommend you run for the hills. Seriously.
5. I still have no outline and no chapters saved up, just a character concept. Even the author has no idea what will happen next. If something goes wrong, please go easy on me. I'm very sensitive.
Theme: A cross-border romance can be true love too, right?
Come on ma'am!!! Sprinkle flowers!!
It's rare to see the protagonist of Hattori Heiji!!! Come on ma'am!!
