Yuan Song is an ordinary student at a university in a mountain city.
Influenced by his roommates, he decides he absolutely has to find a partner while at university. So he learns everything people say can make girls like him more.
Unfortunately, his dream falls apart. One day, after running the fitness test, Yuan Song drags his trembling legs, sore from an ordinary three-kilometer run, to his next class. Halfway there, his legs give out and he falls. When he gets back up, the world has changed.
Yuan Song: ...?
Wait, you can transmigrate like this too? I haven't even graduated from university! I worked so hard to get in!
Male Zerg are rare, so the Empire has introduced a series of benefits for them. They still have to take exams, but male Zerg also get special admission with lower scores. In other words, as long as Yuan Song wants to, he can get a guaranteed place at a university for male Zerg, and even go straight on to graduate school.
Yuan Song: There's a deal like that?
More than ten years of hard study, all wasted in a single transmigration.
With no way to get back, Yuan Song has no choice but to get used to the Zerg worldview. A degree from a university in another world still counts as a university degree, right?
Yuan Song dreams about his future university life, but on the day he comes of age as a Zerg, the device on his wrist starts beeping.
In accordance with the national policy, every male Zerg marries a female Zerg upon coming of age. The System matches them automatically, and the state arranges the marriage, doing its best to make both parties happy.
A lifelong bachelor, Yuan Song: ...There's a deal like that?
So, the year Yuan Song reaches the Empire's legal marriage age, he is successfully matched with a female Zerg of high military rank.
By now, Yuan Song is used to the Zerg world. He has no objections to his future female spouse being male from a human perspective, or nearly thirty centimeters taller than him. After all, their biological sexes are still compatible, so he can still consider himself heterosexual.
After being single for two lifetimes, Yuan Song has finally found a partner. He says: Waaaah, cuddle me, honey!!!!
A few warnings:
1. This is my first time writing a Zerg setting and an original story, and I've read very little of the genre, so there are probably plenty of bugs in my personal worldbuilding.
2. I wrote this sweet little story about my original characters and their pairing. The division of labor between male and female Zerg borrows a little from what I remember about ant and bee colonies, though it's only what I remember. The last time I read anything related to this was ages ago.
3. I have no outline or backlog, and I'm writing this completely on the fly. I started on a whim, so I'll write however I like and you can read however you like. I'm an author who specializes in writing landmines, so run if you can't handle it.
4. There may be pregnancy and childbirth, but I haven't written an outline, so even I don't know if it'll actually happen. Read at your own discretion.
Theme: The values of Zerg and humans cannot be treated as one and the same.
So cute, come on!
Congratulations on opening the article (*^_^*)
It looks very cute so far, and it can even wag its tail.
