Transmigrated Into a Retired Game’s Commander

Time Tower, a famous future-wasteland card RPG.

Players take the role of "Commanders" sent out by the Time Tower. They travel to different timelines to upgrade infrastructure, build up their forces, team up to fight monsters, and ultimately establish a new civilization together.

In Lushu's beginner banner, the very first draw was the god-tier starter card Shadow, whose Chinese name was "Bian Zhiying." A battle god from launch, his stats had been overpowered for three years without him ever falling from grace. He returned as the top clutch savior once again.

In the story, they risked their lives together. On the battlefield, they stayed up late clearing enemy lines... Until the day Lushu decided to quit. She gave Bian Zhiying the account's only Ascension Token. Put simply, it would let him leave her "time" and travel to another Commander's world. He would be free.

But that didn't mean her most trusted SSR wouldn't come looking to settle the score with the Commander who had crossed into the game and become unable to log out, now that he had gained a mind of his own.

From another Commander, Bian Zhiying learned that the farthest future lay at the end of death.

"The Commander and 0506 seem to have a misunderstanding..."

"Do you really think I wouldn't kill you?"

Bian Zhiying's expression was half a smile as his hand slowly settled on the fragile neck of his former and current Commander, then began to tighten.

"Listen carefully, Bian Zhiying."

The air grew thin. His gaze had been utterly cold from beginning to end.

"I'll say it only once."

"Lushu."

"What?" Bian Zhiying froze.

"My real name."

There are no gods in the chaotic timelines, but Commanders are always creating miracles.

Lushu played one card after another, cards that once belonged to her in name alone, but were now stained with blood in her service. She laid them down all the way to the future she had promised everyone.

"If there is a god in this world,"

"then the gods should worship you,"

"my Commander."

The Ascended Shadow Dragon pushed over the last domino for her.

It was also the first SSR she had ever obtained.
