The Villain Begs Me Not to Destroy the World

After being abducted by the System, Lin Yu experienced countless apocalypses.

He lived and died, then died and lived again. At last, one day, he broke free of the System's control.

Lin Yu calmly picked up a knife, ready to kill himself, when someone fell through the roof.

The impact snapped his knife in two.

This was the very knife that had accompanied him through life and death, and had even hacked a crack into the System.

Lin Yu picked up the person and dusted him off. He was this world's villain.

Lin Yu smiled ominously. "You owe me a new one."

At the time, the villain hadn't turned evil yet. Not only did he agree to compensate Lin Yu, he even stopped him from killing himself and forcibly took him along on his journey.

Lin Yu followed him, watching as the villain gradually fell to darkness. At night, he would hold the villain in his arms and comfort him. The smile at the corner of his lips, once amused by the spectacle, slowly tightened into a hard line.

Later...

The betrayed villain said, "They destroyed my family and took everything from me to build their base. I'm going to..."

Lin Yu, who had just learned about the base: "Got it. I'll destroy it!"

The villain: "?? Wait."

When the villain encountered his enemies, he observed them carefully before preparing to strike.

Lin Yu, ready to take them all out together: "What are you hesitating for? Kill them!"

The villain: "...Get back here!"

Then the most terrifying virus of the apocalypse was about to spread. Lin Yu arrived at the virus storage site, picked up a vial, and idly turned it over in his hand.

The villain pressed his lips together and looked up at him, his eyes like those of a puppy about to be abandoned.

"Could you, for my sake..."

"Stay alive?"

Lin Yu narrowed his eyes and smiled.

"No."

He injected the virus into his own body.

In the apocalypse, the protagonist gained a System, and became convinced that he was the true ruler of this new world.

The System was his unparalleled golden finger. He didn't even need to think: he could easily acquire every skill imaginable.

The protagonist arrived at the largest base of the future, chose countless stepping stones, and smoothly rose to become one of its top officials.

Then one day, he met someone, and the voice of the System in his mind turned fearful.

...Run.

"Run!"
