The Desperate Straight Man

Lin Yu came from a mountain village. Even though he got into a university in the city, he was still the least noticeable person in any crowd.

He should have lived an unremarkable life among the masses, but then he got a boyfriend.

His boyfriend was a favored son of heaven. His family background was a mystery, but he spent money freely and was well liked.

Beside him, Lin Yu seemed to become a city boy who had been born with every advantage.

His boyfriend gave him a phone, bought him clothes and snacks, took him to upscale restaurants, taught him to get rid of his accent, and insisted he break every bad habit.

He even taught him to take the initiative and use his tongue when kissing his boyfriend, and to sit on his boyfriend's lap with his legs apart when cuddling.

His boyfriend loved him so, so much, wishing he could stay wrapped around him every second and swallow him whole. He was even so possessive that he installed tracking software on Lin Yu's phone.

Lin Yu accepted all of it without reservation. Everyone around them said they were a perfect match, two broken pots with matching lids.

No one knew Lin Yu had a secret.

He was straight.

Part of him wanted to return to a normal life, while another part hoped these days would last forever.

Before he could decide, the police told him one day that his boyfriend had died.

The boyfriend who wished he could stay wrapped around him every second and swallow him whole was dead.

After a long, hard cry, Lin Yu put on the most beautiful outfit his boyfriend had bought him and prepared to find himself a rich woman at the funeral.

Instead, a fierce wind blew, making the funeral banners flap loudly.

Sounds rang out from the mourning hall all night.

A few days later, puffy-eyed Lin Yu had a new secret.

He had a ghost husband.

Lin Yu, I know your secret now.

This story is also known as My Ghost Husband x

P.S. The blurb reflects Lin Yu's insecurity, not reality.

Warning!! This story has a rather spooky flavor! I'll try another dark and damp one! Lin Yu is very, very bad!
