Let Me Touch Your Tail

My next story after "Master Hid My Baby" is an immortal-cultivation master-disciple novel, and it's already underway. Synopsis: Yan Zhao was born with blocked meridians and unable to cultivate. She was the Cloudfaring Sect's notorious good-for-nothing. The sect leader sent her down the mountain under the pretext of gaining experience, and the whole sect was waiting to laugh at her. The geniuses from the neighboring peak even declared that she would never make it back. Not long after descending the mountain, Yan Zhao found a spirit fox. The little fox was lively and adorable, mischievous and impossibly beautiful. Yan Zhao fell in love at first sight. From then on, Yan Zhao worked hard at cultivation to provide for the little fox. Heavenly treasures? She picked them and fed them to the little fox. Top-grade demon beasts? She killed them and fed them to the little fox. Spirit pills and miracle medicines? She snatched them and gave them to the little fox. The disciples from the various immortal sects, out on their training journeys, were beside themselves. "Where did this bandit come from?" The little fox grew plump and fluffy under Yan Zhao's care, its fur sleek and glossy. The only downside was that it refused to become Yan Zhao's contracted spirit pet, much to her regret. On the day of the sect's grand ceremony, Yan Zhao returned to her sect. Someone schemed against her, awakening her demonic bloodline, and the elder in charge of discipline backed her into a corner. Even then, she clung tightly to her little fox, protecting it. Suddenly, the little fox wriggled out of her arms. Yan Zhao thought: It's probably for the best that it left. At least we never made a contract, or it would've been dragged down with me. To her surprise, the little fox transformed in front of everyone. Everyone was stunned. Wasn't this their sect's most gifted senior sister in nearly a century, the one who was as elusive as a dragon? The senior sister drew a contract sigil with blood from her heart, shared her lifespan with Yan Zhao, and took on half of her demonic meridians. Everyone was furious, but no one dared say a word. Yan Zhao was dumbfounded. "Um, Senior Sister, where's my fox?" The senior sister bent down and wiped the blood from Yan Zhao's face. "Am I not better than your fox?" "That's different." Yan Zhao's eyes darted away. The senior sister straightened her head and pressed her. "How is it different?" Yan Zhao had a sudden flash of inspiration. "A fox's tail is nice to pet." Senior Sister: "..." The next moment, the senior sister changed back into a spirit fox, wriggled into Yan Zhao's arms, and placed her big fluffy tail in Yan Zhao's palm. Before you dive in: 1. She spent her days and nights with Cen Wuxiang and had plenty of chances to avenge her murder in her previous life. But simply killing Cen Wuxiang would be far too boring. Cen Wuxiang had destroyed tens of thousands of years of her cultivation. Only something of equal value would be enough to quench her hatred. So she had to learn Cen Wuxiang's weakness. If Cen Wuxiang had no weakness, she would create one herself. Step one of her revenge plan: take advantage of being nearby. · Thanks to her harmless persona, Qing Ming successfully won Cen Wuxiang's special favor. For the sake of this one and only disciple, Cen Wuxiang repeatedly broke the rules. When the time was right, Qing Ming pretended to be in danger to lure Cen Wuxiang into her trap. While Cen Wuxiang was surrounded and attacked, she returned to the forbidden grounds deep inside the Demon Palace. Many years ago, when Qing Ming was still the Lord of the Abyss, she had cultivated here for years. In her memory, there was only a lotus pond here, with a magical treasure she had left at the bottom. There was nothing else. She stepped into the lotus pond to retrieve her belongings, but in its center she saw a baby. The tiny girl was nestled in the soft petals of a lotus, fast asleep because her soul was incomplete. Qing Ming sensed a blood connection between herself and the child. A blood jade, meant to nourish her soul, had been thoughtfully placed against the child's chest. Two characters were engraved on it: Cen Yi.
