So What If I'm Thirty and Still Unmarried!

Note: This story isn't realistic. It's a Mary Sue fantasy!

Blurb:

"Today, our channel is interviewing Miss Li, a woman born in the 1980s. After graduation, she stayed in the big city for work and spent years working her way up, finally going from office clerk to CEO's assistant. But there's one regret in her life: she's always been single. Now that she's about to turn thirty, she hopes to find a boyfriend to share her future with."

"Miss, what are you looking for in a partner?"

There were a lot of people on set, and eight cameras were pointed at her at once. Li Xiulan sat very properly. At first glance, she looked like X Xiaobao; at second glance, maybe X Benshan.

"Um, can I ask first, is this matchmaking show livestreamed or recorded?"

"Recorded, thank you."

"Then... could you blur my face? And maybe alter my voice too..."

"...Are you sure?"

"Yes."

And so, on some day in some month in some year, a woman in a floral dress appeared on some no-name online matchmaking show, her face pixelated and her voice shrill and inhuman.

With tears streaming down her face, she feverishly promoted the CEO of the Wen Group, who was sitting in his office on the fiftieth floor.

"I've practically watched him grow up, truly." The woman sniffed. "He has some money, sure, but he's already thirty. No girl with any sense would want him. His family is worried about him, the neighbors gossip, and I can barely hold my head up..."

"I came here just to give it a try." As she spoke, she pulled out a black-and-white portrait from behind her.

The beautiful face in the photo was stern, but seemed almost lifelike.

"We don't have many requirements. The person just has to be female and alive. If you're interested, call 123xxxxxxxxx..."

Ten minutes later, the CEO of the Wen Group's phone was ringing off the hook.

Half an hour later, he angrily smashed his phone.

The story spread like wildfire over the next two days.

Just now, he turned to me, his CEO's assistant, who was worn out and haggard from being overworked, yet still pretended to be deferential for the money. I was the culprit behind it all.

"I want to know who this woman is within the hour!"
