My Empress

Please support my next novel, May You Live a Thousand Years, My Lady! Blurb: Jiang Chengwan's first marriage was, all in all, a farce. With a word from the emperor and a few comments from his consorts, the fourteen-year-old hostage prince from the Northern Dynasty was assigned to her, a woman nearly twenty years old, as her husband. She remembered the disgust and restraint in the boy's eyes when she accepted the decree, but she had no idea that her young husband was so capable. In just five years, he would invade Southern Chen to avenge himself, and make her go from a princess of Southern Chen to the empress of a new dynasty. But when Jiang Chengwan thought it over, she decided being empress wasn't for her. She loved freedom and considered power and money worthless. It definitely wasn't because she was afraid Xie Jue would have her head. On the day Southern Chen fell, she fled the imperial city with her belongings and her two useless younger brothers, hiding her tracks and taking new names along the way. Her fate was full of twists and turns, and she had been born into a time of chaos. She thought this was just how her life would be, but two years into her escape, the Southern Chen imperial family unexpectedly offered up a princess and the head of the former ruler as tribute, asking for peace. And her young husband actually agreed! With peace between the two dynasties, she and her brothers were no longer fugitives. In that case, she could openly look for a second spring in love. -- Xie Jue's greatest virtue in life is his patience. Whether it is conquering Southern Chen, claiming the throne, or dealing with his wife, he waits for her to understand, waits for her to return, waits for her to look back. But he never expected that all that waiting would lead to some bastard trying to steal his wife. Entirely fictional setting. Please don't read too much into it. 2021/11/5 Theme: Love is like
