Empress Dowager O: Dominant, powerful, decisive, ruthless, and in love only with power

(Eighteen and twenty-three, five years apart)

With nothing to do one night, Jiang Yuan climbs over the wall of the prince's residence to go have some fun. After making a round of the brothel, she finds the Omegas there plain-looking and terribly dull, so she heads for the next pleasure district.

Taking a shortcut, she comes across a carriage in an alley. Strange sounds come from inside. Could it be...?

Her eyes dart around. She tucks her folding fan into her waistband, sneaks up to the carriage, and secretly lifts the curtain. Inside is an incomparable beauty. Captivated, she slowly climbs into the carriage and meets the woman's beautiful eyes.

That night, Jiang Yuan feels as if she's had a wonderful erotic dream. Even when it's time to go to court, which she hates more than anything, she can't stop smiling.

But she soon stops smiling.

The former emperor suddenly dies, and the young emperor is too young to rule, so the Empress Dowager takes charge. And this Empress Dowager is none other than the woman who spent the night with her.

Jiang Yuan stands below the court, her face deathly pale, cold sweat streaming down her, her legs trembling uncontrollably.

She's probably going to die.

Later, Jiang Yuan not only survives, but is summoned to the palace to attend the Empress Dowager night after night. Every time, though, she is a complete coward.

Annoyed, the Empress Dowager kicks her off the bed. Once Jiang Yuan has rolled to a stop, the Empress Dowager leans her head on one hand behind the phoenix canopy, her winding silhouette showing through. Her voice is stern as she says, "Lord Jiang, why aren't you as capable as you were that night? Could it be you've differentiated back again?"

Clutching her clothes, Jiang Yuan kneels below, trembling on the outside. "Empress Dowager, please spare me. This subject wouldn't dare. Your Majesty."

Inside, she grumbles, "You were a woman that night. Now you're the Empress Dowager. I wouldn't have enough heads to spare if I laid a finger on you."

1. Both leads are sexually inexperienced and faithful to each other.

Theme: True feelings always reveal themselves when you least expect it.
