Everyone at the Armed Detective Agency knows that Edogawa Ranpo has had a mysterious pen pal for over a decade.
In private, the agency members speculate that anyone who gets along so well with the capricious and arrogant world's greatest detective must be an odd genius much like him.
Until a silver-haired little girl in a Lolita dress appears before them.
The agency members: ???
As they spend time together, everyone gradually accepts that the pen pal is a sweet, gentle, soft-skinned, adorable little girl.
The little girl loves reading, sweets, fluffy things, and everything full of life. She's just like the daughter or little sister everyone dreams of having.
After all, cute is justice. Having a mascot like her at the agency seems nice, everyone thinks.
Though this mascot is a little mysterious. She knows the [Golden King] of the Noname Organization, the [Gunpowder Queen] who rules the world, and even the King of Enma from hell, the [First Deputy]. Even the new [God of Wisdom] has come all the way to meet her.
But cute is justice!
Until one day, everyone sees her calmly "pull" a glowing book out of her chest and bring a certain red-haired Mafia member back to life.
The agency members: ???

For the world's greatest detective, the world is full of tedious mysteries that can be solved at a glance.
Every answer is within reach. The world is just too boring.
Until Amber appears.
"I hate boring common sense, useless knowledge, and the dull world of adults. But if it's for you, if I'm with you..."
"I can share half my doughnut with you, give you the marble from my soda bottle, share the tastiest snacks with you, and lend you the wisdom of the world's greatest detective."
The capricious and adorable detective declares loudly:
"So you have to cherish me forever, okay?!"
"Notes"
- There is some OOC characterization, timeline manipulation, and plenty of author-created settings.
- The male lead is obvious from the blurb: our world's greatest detective!
- The "princess" in the title comes from the "hime" in "reader princess" (writing "reader princess" directly felt a bit strange).
- The heroine is based on The Book of Bantorra, but with author-created elements and basically no connection to the original plot. Anything relevant will be explained in the story, so you don't need to have read it.
- Some relatively obscure anime are referenced. Related settings and plot points will be explained, so you don't need to have watched them, though the author will enthusiastically recommend them! They're all really good!
- This is a revised and rewritten version of an old story. My previous pen name was Yuhua. This isn't plagiarism; I'm the original author.
