My Private Moon

Shen Jun was a child nobody wanted.

After his parents divorced, his father soon married his mistress and started a new family with her and their child.

Not long after, his mother remarried and had a daughter with his stepfather. The three of them lived together in perfect harmony.

Whichever home he was in, he was an outsider.

So he learned early on to take care of himself and not to expect anything from anyone.

But when he was fourteen, Xu Huiming, the older boy who moved in next door, was like the moon in a long, dark night, shining down on this little dog in the gutter.

Once he became financially independent, Xu Huiming couldn't wait to escape that suffocating home. Then he met Shen Jun, standing by the roadside like an abandoned puppy, so pitiful and adorable.

Xu Huiming wanted to give the child what he himself had never received as a child: accepting love, the right to be spoiled and willful, and all the ice cream he could eat.
