Old Flames Rekindled

Marriage between women is legal in this setting. Blurb to be expanded.

Blurb:

Wen Nuo got married.

Her spouse was Bai Lianqing, a friend of a friend she'd known for three years.

But Bai Lianqing wasn't Wen Nuo's ideal type.

Bai Lianqing had a cool demeanor and didn't talk much, like an AI that would never say a word more than necessary.

To Wen Nuo, Bai Lianqing had nothing going for her except a face that could seduce anyone.

After the wedding, they slept in separate rooms, and their days together were as bland as water.

When Wen Nuo went to see the first love she'd liked for years, Bai Lianqing didn't even bat an eyelid.

When Bai Lianqing went on a two-month business trip, Wen Nuo didn't ask a single question.

After two years of marriage, all Wen Nuo knew about Bai Lianqing was that she didn't like the crusts on toast.

It wasn't until she heard from a friend that Bai Lianqing had spent years in unrequited love with a white moonlight that Wen Nuo finally proposed a divorce, almost with a sigh of relief.

Bai Lianqing remained as cool and composed as ever. She lowered her eyes and replied, "All right."

But then

Less than a month after their divorce, they had a one-night stand.

The morning sunlight was a little harsh. Wen Nuo turned her head and saw Bai Lianqing, now her ex-wife, calmly buttoning her shirt.

The next second, their eyes met.

Bai Lianqing pointed to the bite mark on her collarbone and curled her lips ever so slightly. "Ms. Wen, I couldn't possibly have bitten myself."

Wen Nuo: "..."
