Xue Chishuang was a carefree immortal who had enjoyed a peaceful life for a hundred years. Then one day, he received a message from the Heavenly Dao: the Demon God was about to descend, and the world would fall into chaos.

He had to persuade the current Demon Lord to help him prevent the Demon God's descent.

With no other choice, Xue Chishuang agreed to the Heavenly Dao's request.

So he went to the demon realm to meet the current Demon Lord.

When they first met, he "happened" to fall into Xie Wanli's arms.

Looking at the Demon Lord's disgusted face, Xue Chishuang awkwardly greeted him.

"Could you do me a favor?"

The man immediately refused. "No."

Xue Chishuang was speechless, but this was an order from the Heavenly Dao. With no other choice, he shamelessly clung to Xie Wanli.

And so began his campaign of "persuasion."

Xie Wanli told him to keep him company.

Xue Chishuang: For the sake of the Three Realms, I'll do it. I'll endure.

Xie Wanli told him to kiss him.

Xue Chishuang: It's all for the sake of the Three Realms. I'll endure.

Then the man's demands grew more and more outrageous. He not only made Xue Chishuang sleep beside him, he even demanded a kiss every morning when he woke up.

Finally, one day, Xue Chishuang ran out of patience. He didn't want to persuade him anymore. He wanted to give up.

After beating Xie Wanli up, he went back to the heavens in a huff.

What persuasion? The man was an old stubborn mule who wouldn't budge for anything.

Let anyone who wanted the job do it. He didn't want to see that man ever again.

Just then, the man shamelessly sidled up to him, looking like he had no intention of letting him go.

Xue Chishuang looked at him with disdain. "What are you doing?"

The man clung to him like a pug. "Shuang'er, I've suddenly realized that I quite like things the way they are between us."

Seeing how shameless he was, Xue Chishuang felt a vein throb in his forehead. He was about to die of anger.

He kicked the man off the bed.

"Get out and reflect on your behavior!"

And so the shameless man was sent outside to face the wall, where he seemed to enjoy himself quite a bit.

Later, the man's fox tail wagged so high in the air he could hardly wait to tell the entire cultivation world that he'd found himself a treasure.
