The Old Forest, the Familiar Depths

Cool, sensitive top student Wen Liushuang x gentle, selectively indulgent top student Xiao Heting

Two top students saving each other

Wen Liushuang and Xiao Heting were childhood friends, but their personalities were completely different. One was cool and reserved, while the other was gentle.

Even so, they got along well.

Later, for various reasons, they went their separate ways.

They met again in high school.

Neither expected their reunion to mean much, but it ended up having a huge impact on them both.

One was a cool, reserved top student, the other a gentle top student.

After they met again, Xiao Heting realized that Wen Liushuang had changed so much from the person he remembered. He wanted to find out what had caused the change, so he did everything he could to get closer to her.

At last, once the misunderstandings were cleared up, everything came to light.

It turned out that beneath her seemingly cool exterior, she had a tender side, but it was shrouded in shadow.

And he, despite seeming gentle, had troubles of his own.

They once thought they would never be entangled with each other again, but in the end, the threads of fate drew them back together.

He still remembered the year he told her, “Wen Liushuang, I'll protect you.”

Years later, beneath the plane trees on that same Wutong Road, he told her again, “Wen Liushuang, my promise from back then still stands.”

At last, this time, Wen Liushuang answered him.

PS: They still save each other, but this story is based on real people.
