Growing Crops and Raising Kids with Psychic Powers

Zhi Yu transmigrates into a book, becoming a weak, unlucky soul whose parents are both dead. She struggles to survive while raising her eight-year-old sister, endures years of manipulation by her aunt's family, and eventually takes her own life after her sister is forced into marriage.

In an era when mental strength determines ability and marriage prospects, Zhi Yu has only E-grade mental strength, which matches only with plants.

A difficult start, a child to raise, and an eager little bear cub who tags along: four mouths to feed.

Zhi Yu, having transmigrated into the book, wants to knock some sense into the original owner's head. Life is precious. If you're not starving to death, you have to keep living!

Besides, she has mental strength that resonates with plants. Of course she should use it to grow vegetables.

The soil in this world has mutated, and vegetable farms are scarce. There aren't enough fresh vegetables for the nobles, let alone ordinary people, who can barely find any vegetables to buy.

And so Zhi Yu's little vegetable garden comes into being.

The carefully tended vegetables not only satisfy people's appetites, but also have unexpected mental healing effects.

"Tender, juicy cabbage relieves headaches caused by three years of accumulated mental strain."

"Juicy, tender tomatoes stabilize mental strength for three hours per tomato."

"..."

One ordinary citizen eats Zhi Yu's vegetables and successfully gets into the Federal Mecha Academy.

One general eats Zhi Yu's vegetables. His mental strength was only expected to hold out until the end of the year, but at his routine physical, doctors discover it has lasted an extra year.

On a chaotic battlefield, an alien army is about to wipe out the human military. With no rescue in sight, everyone is on the verge of death.

Zhi Yu, working in the kitchen, brings out several huge pots of millet chili stir-fried with green peppers.

"Make way, make way! Eat this pot and then we'll take on the whole battlefield."

After eagerly devouring the chili feast, the soldiers transform into fiery mechas and sweep across the battlefield, wiping out the entire alien army.

Mu Ting, the most respected general in the Republic, is on the verge of death. Years of warfare have pushed his mental strength toward collapse.

Unwilling to endanger the country he has spent half his life defending, Mu Ting requests euthanasia.

The doctors can't bear to do it, and keep waiting until he has completely lost his mind.

But every time he falls asleep and wakes again, his near-collapsed mental strength has recovered a little.

The doctors are baffled.

In his delirium, Mu Ting remembers only that his childhood spirit companion went somewhere far away, then had a delicious meal...
