[Mythology] Players Don't Want to Be Pursued

At your guardian's arrangement, you entered an immersive RPG advertised as having an exceptionally high degree of freedom.

Then you found yourself with a favorability list that stretched beyond the horizon:

Apollo and Artemis, twins who bicker constantly and grew up in a deeply troubled family;

Aphrodite, a cross-dressing, outgoing heir to a fortune and a school board member;

Nidhogg, a fierce, volatile backbencher who often hangs around dark alleyways;

Lucifer, a cold-faced student council president who excels at school and has a hidden side;

Tawil At-U'mr, a mysterious dean of academic affairs;

System prompt: [Seize every chance encounter, win their affection, collect as many CGs as you can, and make it to the wedding altar before graduation to achieve a Happy Ending!]

You: ?

After discovering that there was no way to quit the game, you decided to give up. You were allergic to love, and once transferred between star systems three times in a single week after a classmate confessed to you.

You quickly realized that the so-called exceptional freedom wasn't limited to the player.

Your favorability list was free, too.

The good news: In a game where most NPCs don't mind developing a few messy relationships with you, at least you have one cheerful, considerate friend who knows how to keep his distance.

He was as light and graceful as the birds you loved, and had rescued you from one disastrous love triangle after another.

But there was bad news, too: You accidentally discovered that your good friend was actually...

You: .

There are two things you don't know:

One, your romance targets are real.

Two, this isn't a game. The whole world was created to please you.

[Reader's Note]

1. Third-person narration. A school romance (?) story, a pantheon of gods (?) obsession fic, with Hermes as the pairing. Cold-faced x warm-hearted. Lighthearted, with a happy ending.

2. Greek gods are the main focus, with a tiny bit of other Western gods mixed in. Female gods have mostly been turned into male gods in potentially lethal quantities, though there are exceptions such as the busty Poseidon. There's not much actual mythology in it, so you can understand everything without knowing mythology at all.

3. This is an indulgent passion project, written because I couldn't find anything to read. The tastes here are strange. I don't accept writing advice, don't need anyone to explain mythology, and you don't need to tell me if you're dropping the story.

Theme: True love is brief, but a moment can outweigh a lifetime
