The princess goes missing, and Lu Xian volunteers to leave the palace and search for clues.

Everything goes smoothly, except for the encounter with a deranged lunatic who keeps harassing her.

At their first meeting, the lunatic wears red, dons a wig, and sticks on a pointed nose that looks like it could kill someone. She claims she's there to catch ghosts.

At their second meeting, the lunatic claims to be a miracle doctor, but ends up treating someone to death.

At their third meeting, the lunatic scolds Lu Xian for being cruel, then kills someone right in front of her without batting an eye.

At their nth meeting, the lunatic leans close to Lu Xian's ear and says, "That mole at the top of Commander Lu's thigh is something I've missed terribly..."
