Why Does the Archangel Still Have to Work 996 Across Dimensions?

One day, all the Gods of Light in every divine realm suddenly disappeared at once.

Only in Heaven did an archangel who wielded the power of light survive.

To keep their worlds running normally, the gods of other worlds asked the archangel to temporarily take on the duties of their Gods of Light.

As the first person to work a cross-world 996 schedule, the archangel was on the verge of a breakdown.

What made it worse was that he ran into the Demon King in every world he visited.

"What are you doing here?"

"I'm on vacation."

The clues left behind by the missing Gods of Light all pointed to the same place: the ruins of the Old World, the tombs of the old gods buried there.

As the last god to wield the power of light, the archangel had a duty to investigate and became key to the inquiry.

But something unexpected happened. The rift into the Old World widened, and at the critical moment, the Demon King rushed into the space-time fissure with him. The two vanished together.

The Old World contained countless destroyed worlds and banished gods of the past. The missing Gods of Light had been hung on copper pillars that reached from earth to sky. Their golden divine blood flowed over images carved into the stone pillars, like a grand sacrifice at the end of the world.

In this lifeless gray-and-white world, the gods abandoned by history bared their fangs at the last light.

The only one who would stand in front of him was...

The forbidden names of the old gods shattered the chains of oblivion. Here, at last, he remembered the beginning of the story, when the Morning Star never fell.

Back then, someone would hold him and tell him not to be afraid, not to be sad... That person said, "I won't leave."

Liar.
