Why Is Secretary Tang Like This?

On her first day as the general manager's assistant, Tang Yao received strict instructions from the chairman: Keep an eye on the young heir, Xu Xingzhou, and chase away the "flirtatious women" around him.

Tang Yao flashed an OK sign and did her best to protect Xu Xingzhou's virtue.

"Boss, that person is trying to take advantage of you."

"Boss, that chance encounter was something she planned all along."

"Boss, your assistant across the room is looking at you strangely!"

"Wait, he's a man? No problem, love knows no gender!"

Xu Xingzhou: Got it.

No one noticed that outside of work, Xu Xingzhou's gaze always lingered on Tang Yao, and he paid close attention to her every move.

That is, until Tang Yao received an offer from a headhunter and moved to another company.

Her new company was small, with an average workload, but it offered steady pay and a great working atmosphere.

Most importantly, Tang Yao no longer had to endure a crowd of women watching her like hawks, stay on call around the clock, or be Xu Xingzhou's number-one lackey.

Tang Yao planned to lie flat for good and become a refined urban slacker.

But three months later, the new company was acquired. The departments underwent a major reshuffle, and she was assigned to the new president.

On her first day, Xu Xingzhou looked at Tang Yao and casually held out his hand. "Assistant Tang, I've been looking for you for a long time."

"Welcome back."

Tang Yao: "..."

**

Xu Xingzhou was born a favorite of heaven, surrounded by countless accolades, yet he was detached by nature and cared about no one and nothing.

Until the day Tang Yao resigned and left, when for the first time in his life, he had a thought: He wanted her.

Heir x Secretary.

An alternate universe, no real-life inspiration. Please don't overanalyze.
