[Synopsis]

How many steps does it take to become a Gotham vigilante?

Susie: Thanks for asking. Three steps to get Batman to take me home.

First, you need a tragic past.

Next, you need to catch the attention of the brooding one.

Finally, you need the resolve to pursue justice and light.

After dying, Susie transmigrated into the body of a thirteen-year-old girl with the same name, and even crossed into another world.

At least, in her previous life, she'd never heard of Gotham City in New Jersey, let alone its vigilante Batman.

For Susie, whose life started on nightmare difficulty, the vigilantes who came and went like the wind were like the moon, impossibly far away in the sky. She was just an ordinary person struggling to get by, and their paths could never cross.

But sometimes, you shouldn't be so sure of anything.

Susie never would have imagined that one day her sweet, adorable (?) little brother would try to steal the tires off the Batmobile.

And then the car's owner would come looking for him.

Susie: ...

Don't ask. It was so embarrassing I wanted to flee the planet.

Before meeting a certain someone:

Susie: Vigilantes? What's that? I'm busy working to earn enough to eat.

After meeting a certain someone:

Susie: Goodbye, Wayne Manor! I'm going out on patrol tonight! (jumps out the window) (gets caught by the butler) (sent back to her room)

A few things to know before reading:

1. No romance. The Batfamily's relationships are familial.

2. The protagonist was already an adult before transmigrating and has her own values.

3. Updates are irregular, with no set schedule. The blurb and protagonist's character have been heavily revised once.

4. The butterfly effect of the protagonist joining the story will cause major changes to many plotlines.

5. There is some out-of-character behavior. This is fanfiction, so please don't conflate it with the characters themselves. I also really like Red Hood, so he has a lot of screen time.

6. There will be Marvel plotlines. The DC settings combine old and new canon, while Marvel follows the movie universe.
