Blurb:
After transmigrating into an insectoid race, Yan Huan, who is terrified of bugs, becomes a precious male and takes on the responsibility of continuing the insectoid bloodline.
To escape reality, Yan Huan carefully crafts a persona for himself.
Lonely and gloomy, brutal and bloodthirsty, moody, fond of watching female insects beg for mercy, with some unspeakable special tastes. When he's unhappy, he takes it out on female insects, and has several lives on his hands.
Most importantly, he must be a handsome older man with black hair, golden eyes, and a huge chest.
Once the rumors spread, far fewer military female insects dared to court him, just as expected.
Before Yan Huan could happily enjoy some time alone, a friend mysteriously shoved a huge iron cage into his basement, swearing that Yan Huan would definitely like what was inside.
Curious, Yan Huan lifted the black cloth and nearly fainted.
A towering military female insect was bound with ropes, chains pierced through his bone wings, and viscous blood trickled down. A metal muzzle covered the lower half of his face. Beneath his wet, clinging black hair, only one golden eye remained intact.
"A traitor to the Empire, a lapdog of the Alliance. No harm if you play him to death." His friend patted him with a grin. "I paid a fortune for him. He's absolutely your type. Enjoy yourself."
The once-famous Imperial general was now a blind, crippled, mute prisoner.
Clutching his pounding heart, Yan Huan pulled the black cloth back over the cage. Summoning the last bit of conscience he had as a medical student in his previous life, he decided to keep the female insect who looked close to death.

By the time he was sent to the male insect rumored to have a strange, unpredictable temper, Yiliang had already prepared himself to be tortured to death.
But this newly adult male insect seemed different from the rumors.
The male insect clearly looked at him with disgust and never approached him of his own accord, yet secretly treated his wounds while he slept.
One late night, when former subordinates came looking for him, Yiliang gazed at the sleeping male insect, frowned, and remained silent for a long while. Then, at enormous risk, he kidnapped the male insect too and kept him at his estate.
He was prepared to be hated and abused, but... the other seemed to be settling in just fine? He simply never touched him, at most holding his hand, hugging, and kissing him.
Remembering the male insect's preferences, Yiliang pursed his lips, his golden eyes dim with disappointment.
Yan Huan had just stepped out when he saw the man tied up. He stumbled. "What's going on?"
"Does my lord still refuse to forgive me today?" Yiliang lowered his eyes and clenched his fists. "Or do you think I'm too old?"
Yan Huan was baffled. When had he ever refused to forgive the general?
His insect persona was just a rumor! This laid-back romance was a particularly happy life.
[Content Warnings]
1. A classic, old-school BL flavor. A healing, sweet romance focused on feelings.
2. A socially anxious, shut-in top who's afraid of the insectoid species' true forms x a bottom who's a bit of a patriarchal old dad, but not too much, and who reads too much into everything.
3. They have very different ways of thinking. The top believes love comes before sex; the bottom believes sex means love. There is an age gap.
4. Egg-laying. The top isn't sexually weak, and isn't a weak top.
