Can the Arrogant Dragon Protagonist Get His Wife Back, Too?

Note from 2025.05.15

[Dark, obsessive male dragon-slayer protagonist x gentle, kind-hearted ray of sunshine]

Shen Tao is a supporting female character in a dragon-slayer power fantasy novel, but she's neither the villainess who opposes the male lead, Jiang Ciyuan, and makes him hate her for life, nor the woman who loves him wholeheartedly, offers up herself and her family's power to advance his career, and eventually joins his harem as his beloved wife.

She's just the supporting character who saved the male lead's life when he was down and out in the early part of the story, then grew up with him and looked after him for a while. In the novel, her face is indistinct, and she isn't even worthy of having a name.

Without a powerful family, stunning beauty, or exceptional cultivation, a woman doesn't even qualify to enter the harem of a dragon-slayer protagonist.

Shen Tao knows none of this.

At some point, the quiet, well-behaved younger brother she had taken in, Jiang Ciyuan, seemed to change into a different person. Not only did he start helping her with farm work, but he followed her everywhere like a little tail and even began to fear thunder.

On a stormy night, he hugged a quilt and knocked on her door, soaked by the rain and looking like a pitiful little puppy.

"Sister Taotao, I'm so cold and scared. Can I sleep with you?"
