[Blue Lock] After I Was Forced to Switch to Goalkeeper

After being sent home by Spain’s REAL youth academy because of a broken bone, Akagi Natsuno worked relentlessly on his rehabilitation, all so that one day he could return to the pitch.

Then one day, a gloomy man with a bowl cut appeared before him and asked, “Do you still want to become the world’s number one striker?”

Akagi Natsuno said yes.

And so, he joined the Blue Lock project. If he could stand out in this striker selection of 101 players, he still had a chance!

...Who knew he’d draw the goalkeeper’s lot in the first selection, leaving him with no chance to shoot at all?

Believing that if he was going to do something, he should do it to the best of his ability, Akagi Natsuno threw himself into save after save, making the strikers grind their teeth in frustration.

Looking at their disgruntled faces, Akagi Natsuno suddenly realized... Maybe using 299 strikers as practice and becoming the world’s number one goalkeeper wasn’t a bad idea either?

Besides, there was no reason a goalkeeper couldn’t rush out, dribble, or shoot... right?

Isagi Yoichi: “If I want to become the world’s number one striker, I have to get past you first, right?”

Akagi Natsuno: “Is it possible we’ll be teammates on the national team someday? What do you gain by getting past me?”

Nagi Seishiro: “What a pain... It’ll be a lot of trouble, but I’ll try to score against you.”

Akagi Natsuno: “You really don’t have to. Why don’t you come be my goalkeeper instead?”

Mikage Reo: “Do you need supplements or a more professional medical team? If you want to win the World Cup, an ironclad defense is essential. You need to take good care of your body.”

Akagi Natsuno: “Thanks for the kind words. I’ll take you up on that. I’d like a McDonald’s burger, please.”
