Qin Shubai and Gu Sheng meet again at a wedding.
Qin Shubai has only recently returned to the country and is attending the wedding of a friend on behalf of her aunt.
As soon as she enters the hotel, she sees Gu Sheng in a black suit, holding a bouquet and chatting with someone, a bright smile on his face.
In a daze, she remembers hearing someone in the elevator say that the groom's surname is Gu.
As if sensing her gaze, Gu Sheng looks through the crowd and spots Qin Shubai.
Then he strides over to her.
Gu Sheng: "Long time no see."
Qin Shubai's gaze falls on the bouquet in Gu Sheng's hand. She says softly, "Congratulations."

Qin Shubai and Gu Sheng first meet in a classroom.
That day, Qin Shubai has just left the library and is heading back to her dorm when a sudden downpour begins. With no other choice, she hugs her laptop and ducks into an empty classroom.
As it happens, Gu Sheng is in the same classroom.
Sitting in the last row and playing on his phone, Gu Sheng looks up when Qin Shubai rushes in.
Qin Shubai doesn't realize there's someone else in the room. After brushing the raindrops off herself, she quietly walks to the window in the first row.
Her phone died while she was at the library, so all she can do is sit by the window and stare blankly at the raindrops falling outside.
Until someone taps her on the shoulder.
She turns around and finds Gu Sheng there.
Gu Sheng holds his phone out to Qin Shubai and invites her, "Want to watch a movie together?"
Qin Shubai should have said no, but for some reason, she asks, "What movie?"
Gu Sheng: "Like a Sunny Day, Like a Rainy Day."
That day, Qin Shubai and Gu Sheng watch the whole movie in the classroom.
Qin Shubai can't help crying at the end of the movie. Gu Sheng has no tissues, so he can only take off his jacket and lend it to her to wipe her tears.
Once Qin Shubai stops crying, she notices that Gu Sheng's white shirt is covered in her tears and streaked with lipstick.
Her ears turn red, and she apologizes to Gu Sheng in a small voice. "Sorry, I got your shirt dirty."
Gu Sheng looks at Qin Shubai's tear-damp eyes, his tone helpless. "It's my fault. I probably shouldn't have picked this movie."

They first meet in the rain, and part ways in the rain.
Four years later, they meet again at that wedding.
Maybe Qin Shubai is imagining things, but after running into Gu Sheng at the wedding, she finds herself seeing him more and more often.
One day, a nurse can't resist asking the question she's been curious about for a long time. "Dr. Qin, is the guy who picked you up after work yesterday your boyfriend?"
Without even looking up, Qin Shubai says, "No, my ex-boyfriend."
Gu Sheng, who has come to pick Qin Shubai up from work, hears her say this.
He says helplessly, "So, Dr. Qin, when are you going to give me a chance to get rid of the 'ex' in ex-boyfriend?"
Qin Shubai glances at the clear sky outside and says, "If it rains tomorrow, I'll consider it."
