My new novel, The Cousin's Scheme to Marry, is now underway. Its blurb is below.
This story: [Forced Possession, A Regretful Pursuit]
After both her parents died, Yu Fu eventually found her way to the Xie household.
Living under someone else's roof, Yu Fu was always cautious. Fortunately, Xie Xuanyu, the young heir of the Xie family, took pity on her lonely circumstances. He not only kindly gave her a place to stay, but also found her a job so she could support herself.
Yu Fu was overwhelmed with gratitude.
Xie Xuanyu was as pure and noble as the moon, with a character like fine jade. It was only natural for a young woman to fall for him, but she never crossed the line. All she wanted was to save enough money to leave quietly.
On the night before she was to depart, Yu Fu happily went to say goodbye. An honored guest arrived just then, and she was called over to help. As they drank together, the guest, feigning drunkenness, tried to buy her by force. Yu Fu frantically begged Xie Xuanyu for help, but he merely glanced at her indifferently and replied in a calm voice:
"Being favored by an honored guest is your good fortune. Go and serve him well. Don't disappoint him."
Yu Fu felt as if she had fallen into an icy abyss.
That night, Yu Fu returned the gifts the Xie family had given her and left without a trace.
When the things were brought before Xie Xuanyu, he pondered for a long while, then said mildly, "Throw them away."
Xie Xuanyu was certain he had never fallen for her.
Until late spring, when May's blossoms had all fallen.
He saw Yu Fu laughing and chatting with the honored guest. Unlike the way she behaved around him, she was more affectionate than he had ever seen her.
When she saw him, Yu Fu paused, then gracefully curtsied to bid him farewell. Her lovely eyes were full of barely concealed joy. "Your Highness."
His gaze fell on her bundle. His eyes darkened, deep and unreadable.
On the day the honored guest left, Yu Fu mysteriously disappeared. No matter how long they searched, she was nowhere to be found.
The guest was reluctant to part with her, but Xie Xuanyu saw him off with a cold expression. "Why care? She's just an orphan who doesn't belong in polite society."
That night, in a secret chamber, passion stirred and golden chains clinked.
Xie Xuanyu's gaze darkened. He brushed away the trembling tears on Yu Fu's face and asked hoarsely, "Fu'er, do you still want to go with him?"
P.S. A tenacious little lily and a mad, devious young heir.
Please add The Cousin's Scheme to Marry to your collection.
The Yan and Xie families arranged a marriage for their children before they were born.
After the Yan family fell into decline, Yan Wan'er took her marriage contract to the Xie household. Knowing she could no longer aspire to marry into the family, she quietly broke off her engagement to the eldest son of the Xie family, settling instead for temporary shelter. The eldest son breathed a sigh of relief and sent her to a side courtyard.
But then an accident led Yan Wan'er to spend a reckless night with the Xie family's second young master, Xie Zhiji. When she woke and saw her clothes in disarray, her mind went blank.
Xie Zhiji was the Xie family's only legitimate son, noble and peerless, and the top scholar personally appointed by the Emperor. He was far beyond someone like her.
While he was still asleep, Wan'er pretended nothing had happened. But the next day, Xie Zhiji came looking for her. "Cousin, are you going to take what you want and then abandon me?"
Wan'er dodged his gaze. "I don't know what Second Young Master is talking about."
Xie Zhiji slowly took a small undergarment from his robe. It was clearly the one she had lost that night.
Wan'er: "..."
After news of the broken engagement spread, everyone in the household sighed and pitied Wan'er. Fortunately, Second Young Master Xie was kind-hearted and often visited the side courtyard to look after her.
Three months passed. The woman in the side courtyard showed no sign of hardship. In fact, she looked more radiant than ever. Faced with everyone's envious glances, Wan'er kept a stiff expression and secretly covered her neckline.
Everyone said Xie Zhiji was as noble as an orchid branch and a jade tree, but only Yan Wan'er knew how wicked he could be. As he grew ever more audacious, Wan'er secretly asked the Xie elders for permission to leave.
During a night banquet, everyone searched for Xie Zhiji, but he was nowhere to be found.
Just beyond a curtain, he pinned her against the wall. Taking his time, he clasped her trembling waist and tightened his grip slightly. She could not bear it; her eyes grew moist, and she fell into his arms.
Shadows moved outside, while passion stirred within.
With a trace of anger, he whispered in her ear, his voice low and cutting: "Cousin, if you don't want anyone to find out, you'd better not make a sound."
Xie Zhiji had known since childhood that his mother had left him a fiancée.
His father was useless, and his stepmother made trouble. He worked hard and rose to the highest rank, determined that his future wife would never suffer the slightest grievance.
Until his wife-to-be came to him and said she wanted to marry his elder brother.
At that moment, Xie Zhiji laughed in fury.
For the first time, the man who had always been so upright and self-controlled found himself wanting to steal someone away.
Theme: Those who never forget will eventually be answered.
I didn't realize how I tortured the male protagonist, and I didn't realize that this was a crematorium. More than two-thirds of the way through the text, the hero is still slandering the heroine as a spy, imprisoning her without dignity, showing no trust in the heroine, not caring about her feelings, and not even considering what the heroine wants. Not to mention that in the early stage, he turned a blind eye to the heroine's various sufferings and even contributed to the spread of rumors that slandered the heroine's innocence. When he saw the heroine being insulted by gangsters in the street, he refused to save her and refused to allow others to save her. He speculated on the heroine with the utmost malice in everything. What is not worthy of his being crushed? Is it considered self-abuse if the male protagonist regrets it? This kind of psychological self-abuse only touches myself, and does not provide any real compensation for the previous harm to the heroine. If the heroine doesn't reply, does it count as abusing the hero? So what's going on if the male protagonist doesn't reply to the letter? Oh, there is a good reason for the male protagonist not to reply, it is because he is afraid of getting divorced, so the male protagonist can be forgiven - what a double standard! If you were injured while fighting for your country, it would be a crematorium? Is it so difficult that he, a general, would not go to the battlefield without the heroine? The heroine is really a kind-hearted little pitiful person. She was tortured so miserably from beginning to end. I feel sorry for her! I have never been so eager for a book. The male protagonist of this article really doesn't deserve him.
Is this abuse? What is sweet abuse? After doing so many things that hurt the heroine, just say sorry or just forget about it and just write it off? Is this the crematorium?
Ah, when can I torture you? I want to chase my wife to the crematorium.
He should suffer a little, his love is determined to have his own way
At present, it seems that the male protagonist is quite good, a top-notch man, and is very infatuated with the female protagonist. The female protagonist is still too naive. She is already married to the male protagonist and has children. She still wants to run away. If she runs away, will the emperor, queen, and prince be left with a mess? Even if they stay and become a superficial couple, that's fine.
In fact, I feel that there are still a lot of things that have not been explained clearly, such as the bad guy and the heroine's sister (I don't know if I fell asleep and forgot the previous plot). The rest of the story is about the mental internal conflict between the two people. After reading it, I completely forgot about the endings of other people. Is my memory too bad? [Laughter and tears] [Laughter and tears] [Laughter and tears]
How come it ended with the male protagonist apologizing twice? The female protagonist sacrificed her life for self-protection, was imprisoned, was prevented from finding her parents, and was forced into marriage. There is no denying that the male protagonist sacrificed a lot to fight for the country, but the disrespect and insult the female protagonist experienced was at least worthy of a formal and solemn explanation and compensation for him. It was all up to the female protagonist to figure it out, and the male protagonist was happily reunited.
I'm not going to tell you that the first version was three times! 🐶
