The Gu King and His Sweet Puppy

1.

A civil war broke out in Miaojiang, and Wu Yan, the Holy Cult's leader at the time, was ambushed by a traitor and badly wounded.

The Han Chinese in the Central Plains also sent a great army to surround Mount Wuliang. Amid the chaos, the first young Central Plains general to find him believed a rumor and mistook him for "the leader's male favorite." He rescued him, then turned around and killed Wu Yan's rebellious subordinates, before thumping his chest and assuring him, "Don't be scared, pretty boy. I'll protect you from now on."

Gu King Wu Yan looked at the young general's bright, puppy-dog eyes and chuckled. "All right."

2.

The young general looked small, but he was surprisingly strong. He carried Wu Yan out of Miaojiang in his arms and took him home, fussing over him every day, buying him all sorts of things, treating his wounds, and cooking for him. Wu Yan had spent his whole life as a person in power and had never experienced anything so novel. And, most importantly, one time, he fell while struggling with the Central Plains-style bath. The young general hurriedly jumped in to help, and Wu Yan discovered... Damn, this puppy has a smoking-hot body.

3.

Later, since there was a cultural divide between the Central Plains and Miaojiang, Wu Yan decided to return and take back control of the Holy Cult after having his fill of the sweet little puppy. He hadn't even gotten a chance to say goodbye when the silly young general publicly laid out ten chests of betrothal gifts, blushing as he said he wanted Wu Yan's hand in marriage.

Wu Yan: ...Well, this is awkward.

He rejected him on the spot, found a chance to escape, and finally faked his death and made it back to the cult. He purged the traitors and seized power.

4.

Before long, the Central Plains and Miaojiang called a truce.

Wu Yan accompanied the newly appointed Barbarian King north across the Lancang River to negotiate an alliance with the Central Plains. But they hadn't exchanged even three sentences when the young general on the other side suddenly stood up, smashed his wine bowl, strode over, yanked off Wu Yan's veil, and pulled him onto his lap. Wu Yan didn't even get a chance to struggle before the man sank his teeth into his neck.

The meeting erupted into chaos, with people shouting all around them.

Only the man with his teeth on Wu Yan's Adam's apple had eyes red with fury. "Brother, where are you planning to run off to and leave me this time?"
